i know im late to the party but this film blew my mind. It explores so much about the subconscious and how we perceive reality and the world around us. i also noticed at the end that the entire events of the film where just a single dream he had from a legitimate buisness trip and that the dream manifested from his feelings for his dead wife

i may be wrong but the story was very deep and i thoroughly enjoyed it

what did you think of the story? did you enjoy it? was your mind blown?

It was very interesting, but I can't say that I left the cinema with a revelation of any sort.

And my mind certainly wasn't blown.

It blew my mind because well.. It was like the matrix, a really good idea executed well. The concepts.. eh, they were original, but in no means was that why I was blown away by it.

(As you said, you were late to the party, but now can you see why there were threads and threads everywhere about it?)

It was so cool and the story so complex I forgot why they started that journey while trying to figure out what they were doing at the moment and trying to follow the storyline.
I was baffled.

...

I loved that movie. It was awesome, but hardly anything particularly deep.

The story was a straight up heist, even though they were implanting something rather than stealing. The characters were stereotypical, but done very well even though most lacked a lot of depth.

Though reading these types of threads just tick me the wrong way. Granted, it cuts before anything really happens with the top, but the reactions it evokes is just so lame! X_X

I saw it in IMAX, and my mind was blown out the top of my head.

I f'in loved it. The story/characters/script/everything was a perfect 10 in my books.

Did you not notice them get on the plan AFTER all that planing? They are only on the plane for half the movie, that was their best opportunity to get inside the guys head to implant the idea.

It really depends on how much you think about the concepts presented to us in the movie. The idea that reality is simply what you make of it, and that we could all be living in a dream, our own or someone else's...it relates to nearly everything. Religion, science, politics, philosophy.

That we can create our own worlds within a dream makes each of us god in a certain light.
My mind still isn't blown.

It was a damn good movie though.

It was pretty good.

Still the mind-blowing I recieved from Inception, was nowhere close to the one I recieved from Fight Club.

Seriously, I'm talking every orifice...

The ending didn't really live up to the the rest, but on the whole, I thought it was pretty cool, not exactly a masterpiece, but was very good. Primarily because it doesn't underestimate its audience, as so many films do, nowadays.

It was something different; something interesting, in the same realm of The Matrix is suppose. But my mind certainly did not equal blown. There is no doubt that it is a great film; just not one to ponder over for a over a week.
