I thought it was pretty good, but my mind was far from blown.
Unfortunately we're watching it in my psych class, whose collective comments and questions are less than inspired, so I'm dreading the inevitable 'Durr, what's happening?' questions.

I think it was good but it wasn't as complex and thought provoking as everyone says. It was pretty straight forward and the ending was totally a dream.

I watched it just this week, and I really liked it. Cool action, interesting use of several simultaneous plots, fun and interesting concept, etc.
As for it's potential of causing cranial explosions, I'd say that I could see how it could, but it didn't do it for me. I kept up with it far too well, I guess.

Really, the major thing that got me thinking was that people said that they had walked away from it not "getting" it.
Umm...what's there not to get?

It was very interesting, but I can't say that I left the cinema with a revelation of any sort.

And my mind certainly wasn't blown.

Kinda.
I had a good talk about it with the people I went to see it with, which is always nice.
I really liked joseph gordon-levitt in it, too.

I loved it. But it wasn't nearly as complicated or mind blowing as people made it out to be. I was able to follow the entire story, and know what was completely going on without too much effort.

I thought it was really great. Kind of overhyped by the time I saw it, but was still great nonetheless. Didn't blow my mind, but it was certainly more cerebral than other summer blockbusters.

It's a straight-forward reverse heist flick with a double layer and very good effects. Nothing too confusing, deep or mind-blowing about it if you're paying attention.

Still, it's a good movie, but nothing that'll stay with you for long like some movies do. I saw Moon around the same time. That's the kind of movie that'll stick with you and can blow away your perception of self if you allow it to. And trust me, if you like thought provoking movies, chances are you will ponder the ideas and themes brought up enough for that to happen.

I'm kinda wondering what kind of movies people who think Inception is mind-blowing usually watch. There's hundreds of movies that can actually blow your mind properly, instead of just giving you a small spin near the end of the movie. (Get it? Spin? Get it? Ha!)

It was a good film with excellently subtle special effects, but it wasn't as clever as it thought it was.

As said above, Moon was a much better movie.

I'm glad you liked it too :D

It's nice to have something original and also makes you think. I sware on two occasions it's effected me.
One was right after the film when I was thinking if this was a dream.

The second time was when I was lucid dreaming (half conscious) about a similar Inception like situation building up to turning the 'dream machine' on...and then I woke up IRL...or was it IRL?! o_O

Blown away is the wrong choice of words. It takes something special to blow my mind. I guess also because I'm such a cynic that nothing really moves or affects me movie wise.

But it was very good though. I cant believe I had to debate which was better, Inception of Salt with a friend. That was stupid.

It was pretty good until the last act wherein it completely fell apart. The film decided to stop playing by its own rules, which always pisses me off.
Wholeheartedly agree.

I don't mind when a movie makes it's own reality, but when it actually takes the time to explain it to you, and then fucks up it's own physics... that I cannot stand.

On the subject, it was a good movie and it deserves a place in my collection, but I don't feel that it was particularly deep, or even a very groundbreaking plot, at all.

I'll file it under "Eye Candy" along with Avatar.

It was certainly a trip. Not really mind-blowing and there were more than a few plot holes, but still very interesting and could have been mind-blowing with tighter writing.

Nicely executed and well done, but I didn't think that there was anything really new in it.

"Reality as a dream" is an old idea, really.

And I don't understand why people don't get it. Wasn't the plot perfectly straightforward and well explained? They told us their entire plan before they even started it, apart from a few details.

I really liked it and it's definitely one of the better films I've seen this year. Went to the cinema for it twice, and with current ticket prices that's saying something.

It sure did! Not since The Matrix was a movie so hyped, yet left me so indifferent! WOW!
