Yeah, that's right, I said it: A Link to the Past is the best Legend of Zelda game. That's not to say that Ocarina, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess aren't great games in their own right, but the 1991 SNES adventure is pure 16-bit perfection.
Majora's mask was better than all of them.

Yeah, that's right, I said it.
Majora's Mask did feel "right" if that makes sense.

I was very fulfilled by it.
Yeah, I definitely got that. I think the thing was that loads of characters had their own little story that played out over the 3 days. The time limit means they didn't have to be constrained by looping continuously, and some npcs even had full arcs going on unnoticed until later on when you explore new areas (like the kafei wedding thing)

It made the whole world seem very real to me.
Ocarina will forever be my favorite, but I still really liked MM.
Like you said, I liked the many different story arcs going on around you, and how you could interact with them later on in the game. It gave the world some depth, and gave me the feeling that the world around you actually mattered instead of the usual:
- This is Link
- This is
- This is
- Now defeat and save

I think if they did a repeat of this process, it would be cool if they gave more depth to the world around Link. While every game has had the "this is this person, this is their problem, you fix it, and they live happily ever after", MM was the first game to actually give some depth to the problems and personalities of those people.

It will always be Ocarina > MM in my mind because there are so many obscure things in MM that I usually find by accident (this heart here, this mask event here), and because Ocarina had such excellent flow. Also, Water Temple > Great Bay Temple (I hated Great Bay Temple SOOOO much more than Water Temple)

As much as I loved Majora's, I'll give you that.

Great bay was a load of balls.

Sorry man but i don't think you posted the right pick, that's not Link's Awakening

OT:Wow, those are awesome.
And i had forgotten how creepy the Boss that was possessing that girl was.
This makes me wanna play it again, too bad i don't have a GBA anymore...

Eh, I much preferred Link's Awakening on the Game Boy, to be honest.
Then again, it was the only one I ever played all the way through and completed when I was a kid >.>
I love that game <3
Still, these are pretty good, from what I'm seeing :3
You guys know what you're talking about. LA surpasses all the other 2D games, IMO, and maybe the 3D games as well.

P.S. Thanks

The only thing that made that entire region/section of the game fun/bearable was swimming as a Zora is really fun, and I liked the Ice Arrow mechanic of actually being able to freeze enemies and the surface of water. Besides that, fuck every Water Temple that has ever been.

Link to the Past is my favorite, but I definitely don't disrespect you if your favorite is Ocarina, Link's Awakening, or Wind Waker. They're all so good that anyone's favorite just comes down to personal taste or (more likely) nostalgia. I haven't played Majora's Mask yet, but from what I've heard it'll probably join the "Best Zeldas" list once I'm through with it.

I think my favorite drawing is Moldorm. He's looking at Link like "Hey, where are you going? Stay away from my butt."
Moldorm is my favorite one, too, for pretty much the reason you stated. All the drawings are great. I'm so accustomed to seeing "realistic" artwork for Legend of Zelda, it's great to see something more-cartoonish (and not chibi).

+1 to Link's Awakening. I'm pretty sure it's been scientifically proven with science to be the best Legend of Zelda game.

Everybody forgets about the oracle games, easily the best and hardest of any of the Legend of Zelda games.

I really don't think there is a best one. I've played LttP, Ocarina, Majora, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess multible times, and each have their own areas in which they excell (for example, Windwaker perfectly capturing the feel of an adventure, or how Majora's mask has that bleak atmosphere, great use of items, and turns the entire game into one puzzle through its quests). Unfortunately, I haven't played any of the handheld or NES Zeldas...hopefully, all the handhelds will be on the 3DS's gameboy VC.

Majora's Mask is best Korea.

Eiffelart, fuck yeah! I've been following his stuff for years, and I'm glad to see him getting recognition from the public now. It's a bit of the same feeling from when the internet discovered Hiimdaisy's Persona comics.
