Incredibly geeky things that you really want to do.

What are some off-the-chart geeky things that you've always wanted to do, but fear being shunned forever for? Conventions you'd like to attend? Halloween costumes that no one else would get? Wearing that World of Warcraft shirt that's been hanging in your closet for years out in public?

I, for one, really want to go to a Renaissance Festival dressed as The Doctor from Doctor Who. I'd spend the entire time looking around, grinning, and saying things like, "oh, that kind of skirt makes a huge comeback in the 52th century!" and "Arthur was a bit of a jerk, actually. Great dancer, though." Also, occasionally using a replica sonic screwdriver on things with a serious look on my face.

I've done this, only with my various creative arts major friends, in a cafe, doing La Vie Boheme, complete with choreography. The other patrons/employees didn't appreciate it. We are also never allowed to be in a subway/metro train together, also due to Rent.

I highly recommend doing it at least once in your life!

Seriously play an MMORPG like World of Warcraft. Guilt, mostly, and blinding pangs of trying-to-stay-moderately-normal, are what keep me from playing right now.

Oh and I lack the income to pay the monthly fee, but that's a side-issue.

Yeah, my friends and I would just walk down the street singing pretty much all these songs, including coming up with our own Irish Drinking Song or Hoedown-style songs a la Whose Line Is It Anyway.

I would love to get my hands on my Magic: the Gathering cards and start playing again. I was really playing around the Kamigawa and Ravnica sets, and they were a lot of fun, but I packed them away when I moved to Japan. It would be awesome to find some people to play with and to have them back.
