I don't know what the Gangnam dance is, nor have I heard the song or seen the video.
Seems pretty popular.

I still have to see all six Star Wars films.

I'm going to be doing it within a week's time, however.
Watch em 4,5,6 then 1,2,3. That is the best way.

As for me, im almost completely un-involved in music in any way, so i only really know of any popular music artists be a single name, and nothing else.

The only one i can place a work to is Adele, because they play the Skyfall theme on the radio at least twice every hour on some stations. Thank GOD i saw the movie first, because hearing the new theme is one of the best parts of seeing a new Bond flick. Opening animations were really odd though, even by bond opening animation standards. They just made no sense to me.

Also, a good few of the popular TV series in the last several years I know little of. House, 24, Law and Order, CSI, Lost, Firefly, etc. Barely saw an episode of csi like 1 time, and the rest of them, not even that.

Same with reality shows, but I know as much as I need to and I do not care to know any more. My dad flips to them sometimes because he, and I quote "likes looking at the hot girls". Thats the only connection I have to them besides the satires that pop up here and there. Whats funny is that my mom is totally cool with him watching for that exact reason, because its preferable to him actually enjoying the shows. Ah gotta love my pop, he never grew past 21 at heart even at 55 years.

Long story short, Korean Rapper made a music video that was funny as hell, because of the video itself, and apparently many korean-speakers find the lyrics goddamn hilarious, even though they still dont make sense to me after reading a translation.

And its catchy.

And there have been parodies and covers all over the place, several of which are actually good.

It is worth checking out at least once I say.

Facebook.

Haven't ever used it. Don't know a thing about using it.

I'm sure I could figure it out in a few minutes, but until I spend those minutes, which I've no plan on doing, I'm quite content knowing basically nothing about Facebook.

I don't know what kind of content goes on with Jersey Shore.

All I know is I see those commercials to text and get a Jersey Shore nickname sometimes. I saw that one South Park episode about Jersey, it had Snookie and The Situation.

Someone did that in a game I was in today actually. I don't really find YOLO very interesting in any way, but that was kinda hilarious, it was quite a bit like the whole Leeroy thing in WoW.

OT: A bunch of stuff obviously, but a big one is Doctor Who. As far as I know, it's about some guy, who may or may not be an actual doctor, who has a british police telephone box and uses it to travel through time. That's it.

I didn't ear it until I visited a friend in Seoul and went dancing at an "America"-themed bar. Irony.

My Little Pony. I remember them from the 80's, my sister had lots of them .... that's about it.

Pokemon. I watched one episode with my kids. Little animals that repeat their own names over and over again .... the joy.

Walking Dead. Zombies started getting incredibly boring several years ago .... an incredibly boring show about an incredibly boring subject isn't my top list of thrills.

Who the hell is this "FPS Russia" guy? He's in the Black-Ops 2 "Surprise" commercial (he's the one with a few drones around him before the missile explodes him), as well as doing a Kickstarter program with The Chive. I have absolutely no clue who this fella is...

I can't say.

The popular phenomena I know absolutely nothing about are, by definition, things I've never heard of.

Do you remember who the guy was playing? I play so much Nocturne and YOLO is his ult summed up in one word. So awesome. Jumping on people is the coolest thing...

The one time my YOLO single-handedly lost us a game though. In my opinion anyway. I thought starting a teamfight with my ult when 3 of us had GAs and were decently fed was a good idea... No idea how they instagibbed our entire team through the GAs for the Ace to this day.

I really wish they could communicate more effectively across over how much the enemy team is blinded by the actual global part of his ult though. I know it's huge but exactly how huge is unclear. I never see other Nocturnes now to practise against. Sad really. He's so good :(

Don't ever watch SAO. It's a fucking fanfiction with a budget.

Spare yourself the pain and avoid it, there are much better anime out there.

What's GA? I'm kinda new to the game, so couldn't tell you what champ it was. But I do know he was pretty damn good, or the other team was really bad, 'cause he took out 3 champs BEHIND their own tower.

I hear it's more specifically trying to copy the success of .Hack...that true?

NONONONONO.

SAO was an old light novel series that was released during the turn of the century. .HACK was inspired by the light novel.

The issue is that it HASN'T aged well at all; the novel was okay because it was the first of its kind. But the anime adaptation hasn't done anything to adjust SAO for a modern, more expectant age. SAO also has all the tropes that make up a fanfiction: mary sues, marty stues, random plot threads, underdeveloped side characters, self-indulgent love sub-plot, a plot that GOES NO WHERE, pretentious themes, and blatant pandering.

The anime PEAKED at the SECOND FUCKING EPISODE. It's absolutely pretentious. SAO is an anime that thinks its better than it actually is.

Guardian Angel, it revives you after you hit 0HP, gives around 700HP back and is on a 5 minute cooldown. It's quite a popular final item. Some Champions are really awesome if you buy it early on them, like 2nd item early. I think it still works well even after the nerfs. It used to give more Armour and Magic Resist than it does currently and the revive was an added bonus almost. Now the revive is the main selling point over the tanky stats.

Now was the guy playing a green ninja who could turn invisible and do fucking ridiculous damage with endless teleports? Throws kamas at people? Name of Akali? If he was playing her he gets no credit. It's just what she does. Otherwise sounds pretty cool

Still, Irelia is a complete boss with a rushed Trinity Force straight into a GA. The revive is practically a big DON'T FOCUS ME sign, since y'know you get back up again and since Irelia has stupid damage and tankiness not being focused is hilarious.

She hits W and she has 75 true damage per autoattack (past lvl 9) for a good amount of time. Plus some standard AD damage on top. She has a short range teleport on a 5 second cooldown (fuck yo' Flash son!) at lvl 18 and a stun. Oh and health regen. Lots of health regen. That you can snipe people with. Awesome.

Actually, fuck it. It's Irelia, focus her all you want she will ignore your entire team and jump on the AD Carry no matter how "well protected" she is. Her passive plus the new Defense masteries is amazing. Seriously, i've seen squishies rage over how their team didn't protect them but the fact is they just can't once she gets rolling. Think about it, squishes have like... Just under 2000HP on average I think. So, you have the damage from her teleport, the teleport itself applies the extra Tri-Force damage (you use an ability and the next autoattack you land does tons of damage, it's on a 2 second cooldown) then you activate W, that applies the next TF proc, then you stun which gives you the next TF proc plus all the 75 + 75 + 75. Then your next teleport comes back up... Long story short, YOU DEAD SON!

Oh and she could ult as well... I guess. If you want to be a complete overkilling try-hard XD

Basically she gets reduced crowd control (CC) per enemy Champion around her, up to a three person cap. So slows, stuns, silences, blinds etc etc become worthless against her. This stacks with Merc Treads which reduces CC by around 35% The maximum percentage reduction possible is 81% if I rememeber correctly. The new Defence masteries let you take some CC reduction at level 1 which I assume must also stack with her passive.

SHE DOES NOT SLOW DOWN! EVER!

Oh and she gets huge move speed with Tri Force as well. FoN did that too but sadly that beast of an item is no more :( I think move speed got hugely fucked over in the items department in Season 3. I haven't looked too hard but I don't think there's another tanky item that gives movement speed anymore. We want Force of Nature back! There're no good MR items now!

Honestly I just love Irelia. So hype.

Gangnam Style - never heard it. I have actually been to the Gangnam district of Seoul so maybe I do know something about it. Wouldn't have thought it worth writing a song about though.
