Did the Escapist or other game sites (besides, always great, Siliconera) posted news about the game or the funding?
I think yes. Why do you ask?
Because, considering the cast and the fact that is an indie game I think progressists would be drooling all over it.

Could you direct me at the sites and news about it? Thanks.
Sure my friend. Here is the main site which you can also see the Incarnations which help you with your quest. You can also play the Prototype on Steam:

Did I told you I LOVE your Avatar? It is like I am looking myself inside a mirror after I put a lot of make-up. Did you draw it?
Thanks. No big gaming news site though? Not even the Escapist?

About the avatar. I wish I have drawn that. But I just have found it around.

Have you seen the miracle of november on Berserk?

Talking about the game. Well, lots of characters on lots of real world based cultural backgrounds.

Let's see how the story will deal with that.

Cliche Shit tier: West (or the equivalent) is BAAAAAADD! Every other culture is noble, good peacefull hippies.

Other Shit tier: Culture X (or the equivalent) is BAAAAAADD! Every other cultures is civilized, better and enlightened hipsters (or some other crap).

Disney crap tier: Everybody is good and sing songs and hold hands and barf rainbows.

Interesting tier: Aspects of each culture are discussed, analysed and criticized showing both the good and the bad.

I think Siliconera covered it an important number of times when a new Incarnation was revealed each time. The other well-known sites not so much. Only when the game get funded, all the sites wrote the good news.

Also I didn't realized it was Berserk Wolf Armor all along...still look cool.

And I just now realised you have a point: All incarnations are inspired from different cultures around the world [exceptions the cameos....even in reality there are some culture theme characters like Shantae and Guacamelee's Hero].
I hope to see a Greek Theme Incarnation. This would be cool!!!

Hmmm. While I do love Greece, I think that, by now, the greek culture were over-exploited in fiction. Hades, Hercules, Athena, Medusa, everybody knows them.

My guess is that the intention of the developers is to present less known cultures.

Do you have a less main-stream culture that you would like to see? This question goes to everybody on the board.

I already have a nun and a saint to represent me (Brazilian of portuguese descent). It would be cool to see a bandeirante (jungle explorer), a portuguese sailor, or a newly freed slave (instead of runaway slave, overused).

Also eastern europe (not Romania or Russia).

Bonus, other gods:

Another bonus:

The cultural and historical references.

Ah, yes, Greece culture overused indeed, but only Ancient Greece only. What about a most recent years of Greece. What if we had a Incarnation like this:

This Guy is A Greek Fighter agaist the slavery of Turkies back then.
Also we have many kind of different kind of Vampires in our culture? For example we have a Vampire which are living flames which can teleport and become invisible. HARDCORE MAN!!!!

In the first site if you are interested Shin Megami Tensei have a big variations of Mithological Deities/creatures you can command.

The second site is interested. Thank you, I will read it right away :3

Ooohhh. Those are another greeks, interesting.

Still, reading the reference site, Phoebe is based on mythological Greece. We didn't escape.

This is an annoying nit pick that I have. I would rather say "many tipes of undead" than "many types of vampire".

When I say that a "Corpo Seco" (dry body, brazilian folklore) is a type of vampire, the image that I have is contaminated by the vampire stereotype. When I say undead, it has more room to work.

Corpo Seco was a guy that was so evil in life that when he died the earth rejected him.

Ah, I didn't realized this with Phoebe. But her appearance don't base on something I know in Greek culture.

About the Vampires of Greece: They have another name in reality like your in Brazil.

Copy/Paste from other Thread. Below the Greek names are the places these vampires belong:

Χίο
"The vampires are dress in white and they have always around them a leader, three times in size and it is all black. No eyes, mouth, ears, etc. Just a humanoid black void. Finally the other vampires dance around their leader. They appear only after midnight and they only leave to hide if they hear a white rooster scream three times."

Σκόπελο
"The vampires are animated walking Skeletons."

Σπέτσες, Ύδρα και Κύθηρα
"The vampires are humpback ugly humans with black hands and long nails. They never speak and they create strange mouth sound like silent singing"

Τήνο
"The vampires are ghosts with long beards and long sharp nails. However if they come in contract with the living, they take a physical form and they destroy everything around them."

Σαμοθράκη
"The vampires are made of FIRE, they can become INVISIBLE and they can also TELEPORT! *AWESOME!*"

Αμοργό
"These vampires can come out in the day, however they make a lot of noise *like the Nazguls*"

Κάλυμνο
"These vampires come out only in the cold nights of the Winter which they use the wind to guide them to house to house. Also they love the cold wind *duh...*"

Μακεδονία
These vampires come out when the night full-moon *like a classic vampire*. However they can also come out when it is raining. Even if it is in the daylight.

Αλόννησο
The vampires are black and they have shiny flesh. They can also light into the darkness.

Σκύρο
Someone can become a vampire if someone died and never get buried properly. Also you could become a vampire if you die while you are drinking. *yep....*

All these vampire share the same name. "Βουρκόλακες" and "Kαταχανάδες" in Crete.

I would LOVE to translate some of our stories, but it take a lot of work...

It may sound cruel or callous of me to say so, but I'm not surprised it got funded, given the heavy amount of shilling the game received on this forum and others.

Seriously, on this forum alone we had... 3? 4? different threads about it that were nothing more than advertising. (This thread is excluded from that, obviously)

I think most people didn't expect it to get funded.

Keep in mind it got funded 3 days before the deadline, and that was with an extension.
