[HEADING=2]Article Below... Video in the article site[/HEADING]

A panel for Infamous just let out at San Diego Comic-Con, but the real news came before the show even started. Sucker Punch is changing Cole's look in Infamous 2 so that the protagonist looks more like he did in the original game.

A few weeks ago, the developer released the first screens and videos for Infamous 2, and all of that featured a drastically different Cole. This version of the hero had more hair, tattoos and a bunch of other stuff that made him look far different from the bike messenger we knew in the original game.

While the game is still in development and will continue to change, I was handed a manila envelope this afternoon that contained two images of Cole's new-new look. Due to the stage in development, I can't tell you exactly what he looks like, but I can tell you he looks more like the person we played as in the original Infamous and less like the man who was in all of those E3 screens and videos.

---------------------------------------------

So how do you people who didn't like the new cole like the newish oldish cole? (Video in the article, showed his voice is much like the original.

I preferred the old Cole.

Then again I wear a jacket and sling-bag everywhere, like Cole.

But, if anything, I am glad they changed the voice (it is different, right?)

I hated the old one
Yeah it's a 3rd type of voice for Cole (which I think is better than the one they had planned first for the second game.) Though it doesn't show what Cole's new look will be like it's nice that they explained how he got his Wall-Crawling skills.

Hellz yeah, I'm glad that they are changing him back to normal. The character was a bit of an ass, but he is the same character, so it should be the same ass.

Make the best of both worlds for the internet hate machine.

At the start of a new game, it gives you the option to play as new cole or old cole.

Why do so many developers not just do the most obvious?

That makes the game look pretty awesome actually. At least he sounds less like Drake/every other pretty-boy videogame character.

You know, if they're so unsure what design to go with why don't they just draw up a munch and have the fans vote...-_-

Ninja'd. Anyways, the main reason is due to cost. Imagine having to pay the VA of each version (or if it's the same one, paying for him to voice all lines twice), not even including all the fact there are various outcomes.

And then the time it would take to make both versions in all the cutscenes, and then add in the time making sure both versions work fine, and by then you might as well be making InFamous 3. The fact is, it's cheaper just to lose a few sales to angry people then to do all of that.

I've already stated my opinions on the developer regarding this debacle, because it really didn't have to happen at all.

You didn't hear? They're getting rid of the idiotic new version of Cole in favor of someone closer to the awesome original. It's fantastic news.

True.

But I liked the what Cole looked in Infamous 1 more than in Infamous 2, so moving closer to Infamous 1's look is still a plus to me
I liked the old look more than the new one too but a 3rd look could be fine that doesn't just copy the 1st.

If you mean appearance wise it'd be a continuity errors with cut scenes, canon and ads and etc. but if say Tattoo Cole was an Character skin unlocked, download or Pre-order I don't think people would mind. I know I wouldn't.

YES! *high fives nearest person in the room, which is empty apart from me :(* I absolutely hated the new cole, if they stuck with him i wouldn't have bought the game but now there is pretty much a 40pound hole in my pocket already.

Professor: "Good news, everyone! It seems those idiots at Suckerpunch have finally changed their minds about Cole in regards to those stupid few called the vocal minority."

Fry: "You're a fan of inFAMOUS, Professor?"

Professor: "Oh my, yes."

Leela: "This is great and all, but what about our job?"

Professor: "That reminds me, I'm afraid you won't be delivering my doomsday device."

That's what ran through my head when I saw your avatar. Come to think of it, what you said can sound like he said it too... well done.
