Was anyone at all expecting this to come out. I know that the first game was decent with review wise but enough to warrant a sequel? But then again most games no matter how bad they are seem to have sequels come out now and days. So what do you think did you like the first one enough to get it or will you skip it?
I love it. I'm a Sucker Punch fan so I'm suckling their Games balls big time...but I thought that it was a fun game. The open world was fun to explore, the powers interesting, and the story, while crazy, was done well in the comic style
And it depends on the company. Sucker Punch has 4 titles they can point out, the 3 Sly Cooper games and Infamous. Excuse them for making a sequel to one of the 2 franchise they have. At least it's an original idea that was considered fun. And as people say, sequels aren't all shit. In fact, sequels are better sometimes than the originals.

I'll be getting it, I wanna see how the story wraps up. Infamous is also the only game I've got my platinum for, so you could say I enjoyed it.

It was pretty good, in my opinion. The only sandbox game I finished in a long time... twice. And will probably get this one too.
And yes, the game was obviously going to have a sequel. Not only there are hints of it at the end, but it sold well, was critically claimed and it was menctioned post release in the Sony's E3 conference by SCEA's CEO as "one great example of the experiences that are only possible on the PS3"...

The first Infamous was pretty damn good, including a surprisingly solid story that left the door wide open for a sequel, but didn't feel like an unfinished cliffhanger of sorts.
I never had any problems with bugs or other issues in the first game, and I've been looking forward to the sequel since it came out last year. Sure there is room for improvement, but all it needs is a bit of polish and I'm sure the sequel can be pretty outstanding.
The first InFamous was fantastic. I can't wait for a follow up. Plus the ending kinda left it open for a "part 2" anyway so it's not a huge surprise that it's been announced.
I wonder if Prototype 2 will be announced soon? Maybe they can release at the same time again and we'll get another one of those funny little art contests from Yahtzee.
Here is a stupid question... Did anybody else see the overarching scheme of things as a way to tie in Prototype and inFamous? That their stories could actually be related in some way?
However, I am will to accept that this won't happen as it really can't happen. But it was an interesting thought to me.

One is from Sucker Punch published by Sony, and the other one is published by Activision and available on several platforms... So no, I don't think so.
I like to see it as an example of two groups of people that, even when their games were "similar" and publishers saw each other as competition, are related to each other, in good terms and willing to have a good laugh at the expense of their own games.
I think its definitely sequel worthy and at the moment its more economically viable to stick with a formula thats been proven to work instead of having to invest great amounts of time in figuring out new back stories and lead characters
I also had to facepalm whilst playing uncharted 1, after a while seeing the enemies take cover i was like oh my god! they're so similar to InFamous because they're both Sucker Punch games; What can i say, my stupidity knows no bounds

Ya, I am aware of the two different publishers problem. I was just seeing quirks of plot between the Ray Sphere and the conspiracy. Two different methods to accomplish the same goal.
Besides...
Didn't the future being of apolocalypse, etc etc seem a lot like how you would describe Mercer?
Not saying it was possible, just saying the stories had a weird possibility of meshing in my insect brain. XD
I just wish I didn't have to grab a PS3 for only two games, Disgaea 3 and inFamous. Don't care about the rest. My friend has a PS3 so I will be keeping up with the story when he gets the second one, when/if it is made.
