infamous second son can Cole "be in it" or have a cameo

From what I understand, Sucker Punch is using the "Good" ending as cannon, and saying that the RFI didn't actually kill all conduits.

Basically the RFI wasn't as powerful as we were lead to believe, or some bullshit like that.

Kessler already explained in InFamous 1 that his powers developed naturally without the Ray Sphere in his own timeline. Even if Cole managed to kill all conduits at the end of InFamous 2, what's to stop new ones from being born later? PLus, their powers are going to naturally develop anyway, so really all Cole did was purge the world of Ionic Radiation released by the ray sphere, which was causing everyone to die from the plague.

Except for the fact that Second Son takes place seven years after 2. And Delsin seems to be a bit older than seven years old.

As people have already said, Second Son takes place after the GOOD ending. How Delsin develop his powers and didn't got killed by the ray sphere? I expect some explanation, although it doesn't have to be a good one (maybe he was inside a basement at the time, and it shielded him from most of the blast). Based on the gameplay demo, conduits are far from extinct...

I also expect Cole to make an appearance, but not in as an enemy. The "ghost in the machine" theory is a good one, and I could take it. Also, have in mind that it seems to develop in a different city than the other games.

Did no one else see Cole get zapped by lightning at the end of Infamous 2 good ending? I'd say that's the plot device they would use if they were going to bring him back.

Really!? That's a weak cop-out... I honestly would have preferred they had just said it was a different story.

There was never a guarantee that the Inhibitor would work like they had hoped. Pretty sure they explicitly state that in-game.

OT: No, we aren't seeing Cole in Second Son. He might get mentioned, because the world of Second Son is a direct result of the events from the first two games. But will he actually show up? No, never.

It wasn't anything significant. At best it was symbolism, at worst it was just an aesthetic choice. A cop-out like that would 1) not go over well with the fanbase and 2) do nothing but milk Cole, whose story has already been told and ended.
