I agree with you on most everything, but I highly doubt this is an "Infinity Ward money-making scheme," they aren't the ones who set the price on the DLC, are they?
This is Activision's fault, and while it's currently "cool" to hate on them, 30+ people don't quit a company and blame the publisher for no good reason. All of those unrealistic demands and failure to compensate them for their work might have something to do with the extra content you mention - I wouldn't be surprised if Activision made IW prepare 15 extra maps to be released over the next year and then jacked up the price. After all, morons who don't know the value of a dollar (read: 90% of America and a good portion of the Western world) will gladly swallow their shit with a smile.
Anyway, I too would love more Spec Ops missions, but I highly doubt we'll see any, ever.
