Alright, since I didn't do my duty and let the Escapist go on a bit of a dry spell I'm back with one of my signature topics.
Though, this one has a bit more weight to it (heh) because I'm asking a bit more philosophical/economic/social question.
So in both NA and Japan entertainment the idea of a group of a super-hot, super-nice/"tempermentally likable" super-available women introduced or discovered into the human population somehow is a fairly common idea - Sekirei, Chobits, DearS, Monster Musume, the Amazons in DC etc. Hell, even in Star Trek Kirk spends nearly as much time chasing alien booty as he does punching things or science-ing things. As does Commander Shepard in Mass Effect, if you're so inclined (male OR female). Or they simply posit that super-hot/super-attractive women are way more common than they really are (IE: All fiction. Everywhere. All the time.
The shows/comics/books usually just focus on the affect lives of the protagonist and the girls and maybe their immediate friends/town. But they rarely if ever acknowledge or talk about the larger social/economic/political/cultural effects of such a change/discovery.
So what would happen? What happens to humanity when we go from just having the women we're used to around to having essentially hundreds of thousands if not millions of almost ideally perfect women running around up for grabs? Or in the case of space there are millions if not billions of now far more exotic and...er, adaptable females from other species available (Asari for instance).
If the balance of numbers shifted from generally being 50/50 to something more like 40/60 or even 30/70 in women's favor?
And what do female humans do? How would women cope with having to go from competing with just themselves and the odd above-average stand-out woman to having to deal with the fact that every like 1 in 10 or so women could now look like this:
NSFW Spoiler Below
And the having to deal with the possibility that they are every bit as capable or more than the average human?
That is some serious stuff that isn't addressed - ignoring the effects on the standards of say, beauty, what would it to do ideas on behavior? Dress? Work? Relationships in general?
These are important questions dammit!
(Also, as to why I'm not including the hordes of hot guys/similar situations involving men, I feel that the effects would be different enough that they would require their own topic. Also guys aren't really my thing or my shtick, so you gotta ask someone else for that one.)
EDIT:
I suppose for clarification of the question, there are two scenarios;
Baseline for both scenarios:
The "new" women, except in the case of Monster Musume-esque Monster Girls, aren't easily distinguishable from normal women except for the fact that they're exceptionally hot and attractive that have bodies that are similar to the above examples but are otherwise human (IE: they have human facial features, not huge eyes etc.) and function like humans (eat, sleep etc.). They aren't super-powered beings or super natural powers etc.
For a supplemental discussion, maybe consider they have a few "abnormal" features like bunny ears, cat ears and tail etc. in some cases.
Scenario 1 - The Sekirei Style Method:
The "new" women are either introduced into society stealthily or so gradually that it's only noticeable through the notably higher levels of hotter women around. Method generally doesn't matter, but it's assumed to be at a rate or method where the general public generally won't have anything to directly be alarmed at or focus their reactions onto. Maybe a few government or corporate figures are aware but they have little or no reason to interfere or tell anyone.
Scenario 2 - The DearS Style Method:
The "new" women are introduced in a loud or overt way such as arrival by spaceship or being suddenly unleashed on the planet. The entire planet is mostly aware and dealing with the consequences overtly or covertly.
