I personally enjoyed it but I hear lots of complaints about it for the gore, the directing, etc.

What's your opinion of it?

EDIT: Some favorite quotes?

I found it fantastic. One of the best movies of the year, in my opinion.

Not enough of the Basterds, too much jumping around in story, sick of Tarantino trying to show everyone he knows how to film different movie styles. It was ticketed as an action flick and there was just too much talking in some parts.

Another entry in my trio of movies of 2009 I fucking loved.

Avatar
District 9

A great film, so much better than Death Proof. Tarantino's totally proved that he's still got it.
I thought Avatar was a 2010 movie? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just wikied it. It is a 2009 movie.

good-to-Meh, I LOVED the Basterds, too bad they were only in like two scenes.
This is pretty much how I feel.

Aany time they, or the German Major wre on screen it was fantastic. Everything else was shite.

I had fun when I watched it in the theater, but it is probably the only Tarantino film that I am not really interested in watching again.

Avatar was released December 2009, and was up for the golden globes this year.

I was really dissapointed. It didn't have enough of a back story for the Basterds, so it just felt like watching a bunch of random, nameless people in a war. Also, it would have been better if they showed us all the stuff that the Basterds actually did to become so infamous, instead of going from "assemble a crack military team" and skipping right to "We are the most feared soldiers in the war"

You ever see the original?

Now those guys were awesome.

The original Bad Comapny.

OT: Good because of the Basterds, The Bear Jew and Christoph Waltz.

God, I love that bloodthirsty bastard.

It was meh. I loved the action but it seemed like talking for 20 mins, action, talking for 20 mins, action, talking for 20 mins, action, and finale.

I thought it was pretty good. Definitely not Tarantino's best movie, as I heard some reviewers saying. No way it's better than, say, Pulp Fiction, but I enjoyed it all the same. Christoph Waltz was amazing and he definitely deserves an Oscar for that performance.

If I had to describe the movie in one word, it'd be "tense." I don't think I've ever seen a movie do that much tension-building before, but they did a damn good job of it.

Yeah, I just wikied it. Sorry, my retardation has a habit of rearing its ugly head from time to time.
