So, I was having a discussion with my dad about Black Ops. I was saying that it's going to be a fail of a game and just be MW2 in the cold war era, like WaW was to CoD 4. He said that, given what Call of Duty is, it's very hard to innovate any fresh ideas into the mix to actually do what a sequel should do.
And THAT got me thinking, what are some of the new, fresh ideas that we'd like to see in a new Call of Duty game?
I'll get the ball rolling. Why not focus it more on tactical combat than... whatever kind of combat it IS focused on? Make the single player about leading a squad (Probably make the first few levels a tutorial in following orders, like stack-up and such), and then the multiplayer can be two squads with one leader each, and that leader makes the tactical decisions, like where to go and what to throw. Kind of like SWAT 4 or Rainbow Six Vegas, except streamlined for a multiplayer situation.
