In Blops, it was the inability to turn on persistent radar in local multiplayer.

I raged so much I never played it again. Not only did it doom every 2-3 player match to being really fucking boring for 90% of the time, it also showed how utterly god damn lazy they were when doing the split screen part.

Gah.

Pointless achievements, CONGRATULATIONS YOU WATCHED THE CREDITS ALL THE WAY THROUGH 10g. To go a long with that, multiplayer achievements. At the very least you should have them separate from singleplayer so you can still 100% the SP portion of the game.

Also clipping, even the smallest little clipping can just annoy the hell out of me, it's probably irrational but I seriously can't stand it when in a game you have a sword on your back and it goes through you shoulder.

Also small little objects that block paths. Mostly Jrpgs do this. A tiny little pebble or bush can stop your hero in his tracks, also he can't climb over fences.

I honestly don't mind when a game doesn't care for its own storyline, but sometimes they just make a bad decision about it that actually works AGAINST my desire to play.

Super Meat Boy fit into this. I'm absolutely fine with a basic story about a guy saving his girlfriend. What I don't like is that the whole game, there is ZERO progression. Bandage girl is never distant from you, always at the end of every level, and in no boss fights except the end (of course) do you even get close to Dr. Fetus himself. I mean the cutscenes are funny and all, but it really does hit me to say that all my progress thus far has been negated by Fetus just flying off again.

It's about the equivalent of the "Sorry, but our princess is in another castle" thing EVERY level. (And just as a note that I don't solely hate indie games, this unfortunately happens in big games too)

When, in a large open ended FPS, enemies can see you at 100 yards at night through cover (*koff Far Cry 2)

When they shoehorn some kind of half-baked romantic subplot into storylines (There's a million examples of this, but the most egregious example I've seen recently was Force Unleashed 1)

WEAPON DEGRADATION!
First off.... YES

Second off.... YES!!!!

This pisses me off just to talk about it.

I remember one instance where I was in a car, I had the engine off. An enemy car was a good ways off beyond the woods. I start the car keeping my lights off and they turn around and magically spot me.. >.<

That PS move message that popped up whenever I started the KZ3 beta annoyed the hell out of me, I'm going to have to go with that. I'M NOT BUYING A MOVE, GET OVER IT SONY!!!
And it's in the final game EVERY GODDAMN TIME I WANT TO LOAD IT UP. Fuck you Sony, I don't own Move, and even if I did ONE warning message on the first load uo would have been enough.

OHHHH! I also hate it when games (JAK III Was SOOOO guilty of this) decide to throw in some racingg sequence. I want to shoot shit, not race, and not only do i have to race, but I have to always hit checkpoints, and If I miss em, I have to go back. I spent more time racing then anything else on that game and I HATED it. I broke like 3 controllers beating that game....
Haha! I never even got through that game becaouse of that. Got stuck on some stupid racing bit and i just shut off the console and didn't touch it for months.
