Name: Andrew Muniz

Age:15

Original Appearance: an average case of muscular dystrophy has confined him to a wheelchair, green eyes, blonde hair, sunken and bloodshot eyes from late nights and general exhaustion. T-shirts and jeans are his standard clothing fare.

Dream Appearance:Solid titanium suit which is fused and connected to his body. Inside of the suit is his real body, just as it is in life, frail, pale, and slowly withering away. Iron Man, except he doesn't have a choice of leaving the suit behind, it is his body, and slowly becoming his only body he is happy with.

Personality: Not overly social, but is somewhat lonely, as he is cut off from the rest of the world because of more than one reason. He's a bit critical of glaringly obvious mistakes he sees and attempts to point out.

Dream Powers: Control over the suit, shifting the metal around and making most anything, so long as it still is attached to the suit. The suit is nigh impenetrable, at least, it has been in his experiences with it. He has mostly relied on instinct and luck to get him through the day. the suit is almost completely unadorned, except for the head, which is very detailed with his face, each individual strand of hair has been sculpted and his eyes glow a green as he speaks in a resonating, metallic voice.

He's found some kind of control over whatever "air" is found in the Dream Realm, not being able to make much more than a light breeze, but he has this flying dream, outside of the Realm, where he is in his Dream Body and has grown wings that allow him to glide and fly on currents. He is ecstatic about this simply because it gives him another way of moving around and more control over his own domain.

Spirit Guardian:a bear that appears to be formed of pure shadow, responds to Jefferson and only really talks to Andrew. Excessively protective, but not always able to affect the Dream World denizens.

Backstory: He was born with his condition and into a recently wealthy family, the youngest of four. His father patented a revolutionary new light fixture and became a millionaire more or less overnight. Andrew grew up in a environment without want, except for the ability to walk and pee on his own. His family hired a care specialist named Donald Jefferson who has mostly taken care of him outside of his home. He attends a private school for the physically disabled and those bordering on terminally ill. He was never really bullied simply because the ones with the best conditions were more or less unable to do the bullying. He did ok in school, though he could've done better, but he doesn't see the point in doing well anymore since he doubts he'll live past his early twenties.

His eldest sibling, his brother, is a minor league baseball player, close to being moved up, and he rejects the money he parents set aside for him, but keeps it to fall back on on the off-chance that he doesn't go pro. His two sisters, twins, are in their final year of high school and are pretty much the same person.

His daily routine involves waking up being taken to the toilet by Jefferson and being trussed up to go to school. He goes to school like any normal teenager and has a small crush on a paraplegic girl in his grade named Stephanie.

He has control of his upper body, but his organs and muscles are not in the best shape and so he has a motorized wheelchair to move around in. He reads extensively, comics, books, anything he can get his hands on really. He normally carries around an E-Book reader most of the time loaded up with a plethora of books on differing subjects.

Since his dreams became more or less a regular occurrence, he's found that he prefers the power he can wield there as opposed to the real world, where he doesn't even have control of his own potty times. But, he's been finding more reasons to stay in the waking world since the dreams began, even though he's heard of mortals staying the Dream Realm and living out their lives ...

<spoiler=Warren Costa Character Sheet>
Name: Warren Costa

Age: 15

Original appearance: A boy with extremely black hair and a tall, slightly heavy build, Warren's appearance is otherwise carefully calculated to avoid attention. His clothing is neither pointedly fashionable or out of style. He generally wears brand t-shirts under flannel shirts, jeans, and either black or red converse. He keeps his hair cut fairly short.

Dream Appearance: At first, Warren will not change his appearance whatsoever in the dream realm, wishing to maintain his act of completely blending in. However, he may change details of his appearance over time if not doing so would actually attract more attention.

Personality: Warren is not used to his opinions or personal beliefs being important to others, and has therefore developed a habit of compulsive lying when he thinks the truth may elicit a less than optimal response. He tries not to answer personal questions like this at all, but when pressed will usually give the answer he believes is desired. Years of this have made him incredibly skilled at reading the personalities and nonverbal cues of others, and he is a top-notch liar. Warren remains impartial in almost all conflicts. However, when he is does show his true feelings, it's very hard to understand what he's saying, as he will still skew the truth out of habit. Despite this, Warren is agreeable, though not considered very interesting due to his yes-man attitude.

Dream Powers: Warren can read the intentions of others. This does not mean that he can delve into their mind Snape-style; he just senses what someone will do a few minutes or seconds before it happens. This is like a sixth sense to him, and he does not have a very strong grasp on it (sometimes doesn't work, sometimes does. Voidrunner can decide this.)

He also has the ability to become invisible or harder to see for short amounts of time. This also means he will be quieter and generally harder to detect. This power will take the majority of his mental fortitude until he gains experience with it.

Warren also can manipulate the thoughts of others. This is akin to a Jedi mind trick and will usually be used to misguide or confuse baddies, although it's potency may increase over time. Warren's mind reading and thought altering abilities are effected by the intelligence of his targets, and he can not become fully invisible to extremely discerning enemies, although he will still be extremely stealthy.

Spirit Guardian: A spider monkey that comes up to Warren's knee. It is intelligent and can talk, although it chooses to do so through Warren. In battle, it can deliver surprisingly powerful jabs to opponents' weak points, and may also have a minor stupefying effect, dulling the wit, reflexes, and possibly senses of those in the near vicinity that it so chooses. It will also help Warren with puzzles or other tests of smarts.

Backstory: Warren comes from a broken home that never managed to fully fall apart. His parents, Samantha and James Costa, fell out of love before Warren's birth. They fight childishly, bitterly, and incessantly, but stay together due to economic co-dependance and the disillusion that they need to stay together for the kids. However, Warren would not care if they divorced; because all they did during his childhood was fight, he feels very little emotional connection to them. Getting sucked into their arguments is one of the main reasons that he tries to remain impartial in all aspects of life. His sister, Jessica, is his closest friend. She's 24 years old, and as such she moved out of the house when he was only nine. She was much more shaken by her parents' constant fighting than Warren, because when she was growing up they were still close. She had been the only friend he needed, though she urged him to be more outgoing at school. However, after she left, it was too late for Warren to make friends. In his world, he was now alone with his parents. In this time he trained himself to avoid all attention, to try to evade the bullies that realized he had no friends. If not for his size, he'd be an easy target. But thanks to his imposing 6' 2" frame, he was simply alone.

I can tweak the dream powers if need be, although they seem pretty balanced considering the other sheets. Also it should come as no surprise, but Warren has a massive catalogue of bad memories that can be brought back. I can make up some specific scenes and send them to Voidrunner if that would be convenient for him.

Also, this is how I imagine the monkey looking.

Name: Alan Wallus

Age: 15

Original Appearance: Thin, somewhat short with a slightly hunched back. Often wears crinkled if somewhat clean shirts with pop-culture references on them. Generic jeans and sneakers are included of course. His face as is common with his age is filled with pimples.

Dream Appearance: Less pimples if any at all with his posture straight and correct with his clothes being in pristine condition. Taller and seemingly more imposing and confident.

Personality: A somewhat depressed individual that laments his loneliness and lack of power and respect that he receives from his peers making him shy and somewhat cowardly. To cope he pretends that he does not care and spends most if not all his free time on the internet playing video games.

Dream Powers: Video game vision. Can instantly see his own health bar, he may monitor his 'statistics' as well as his allies. He also has access to a mini-map (Though admittingly it is limited, some objects may not appear on it at all.) Can also see the statistics of certain items, objects etc. May even see important objects and people highlighted in his vision.

Spirit Guardian: A giant paperclip with large eyes that flies around on a piece of paper. Doesn't actually speak but can vocalize itself by summoning 'speech bubbles'.

Backstory: Alan Wallus has a simple upbringing with an average family. His school life involves bullies many of which had made his life a living hell. Not wanting to worry his parents he never spoke of them. His shy nature had sprung from this. The main offender that had followed him from pre-school all the way to high school was one William Wakes, a large imposing fellow that often assaulted Alan verbally learning long ago that physical violence could leave evidence which of course would get him into trouble.

Accepted, I laughed at your choice of spirit guardian, should be quite amusing. About your powers, The Dream Realm is by nature an ever changing environment, are you fine with your Game Vision being confusing at times?

I voice great interest in this! I'll try and get a character sheet up pronto! Quick question: How far can the dream appearance differ from the original appearance?
To put it simply, the dream appearance can differ as much as you like provided there is still something that is recognisably you. Mortals who take completely different forms have usually lost all connection to real world and sometimes even their own identity. Generally meaning they will either never be able to leave or will be insane if they do.

I am very interested. Here's my submission.

Name: Alex Darien

Age: 13

Original Appearance: A slim young man with green eyes and messy brown hair. His face has some pimples around his cheeks and forehead, but not much. His clothing is simple, usually just plain, single-color shirts and jeans. Also has glasses and braces.

Dream Appearance: Similar to his original appearance, but more cleaned up. His hair is unnaturally neat and ordered, his face is clear, and he loses his braces, but not his glasses. His glasses are now gold, rather than the plain steel they were originally. The word 'pristine' comes to mind looking at him, everything about him is now scrubbed and new (at the very least seemingly new).

Personality: Alex was always far too serious for his age. He was neat and ordered as well. He was the kind of kid who would line up his action figures in neat rows on his shelf, but rarely actually play with them. Alex felt very much distanced from his peers and became a very introverted kid. He would often spend afternoons sitting down with a book, letting his fantasies run wild, rather than try to meet new people. Alex always dwelt too much on mistakes he'd made, and rarely forgave himself for making them.

Dream Powers: Reorganize- Alex reorganizes the battlefield, redeploying allies and enemies to new positions.

Spirit Guardian: Tome- A rather large and knowing book, Tome speaks when open and is quiet when closed, though always aware of what is going on. Tome has tendency to ramble and can be quite dull at points.

Backstory: Alex was a fairly regular kid. He grew up in a normal, middle-class house, took part in several sports at a young age, and was on good terms with the kids in his neighborhood. However, none of this seemed to really help Alex connect with his peers. There always seemed to be some obstacle between him and them. He became a very alone child, not to say lonely, necessarily. Alex found solace in books and his studies, which helped to turn him into the overly serious young boy he is today. He cultivated a sharp mind and quick wit.
Accepted, I've noted your character dwells on the past making him likely to attract memories, I can write my own based on your backstory but if you had any specific memories in find feel free to pm them to me.

Accepted, it would be great if you could make up some specific scenes for you character. On the subject of your powers, the invisibility will be fine but I have to note the thoughts of native entities to the Dream Realm will be quite alien to your character and it will take him some practice before he can accurately untangle what's going on in their minds.

Yeah, that or, if he has trouble falling asleep, coming to with metal quickly covering him. To give a mental picture, the matrix, the scene where they're getting him out of it for the first time, the mirror thing and all. That's kinda the way I was thinking it working.

I tried to put in a few different things for dream stuff, but tell me if you'd like me to make up more. I can do it if you want more physical, emotional, and spiritual scars to pick at.

I can just imagine his HUD switching in the middle of a fight from something similar to a COD/BF/GSS and to something like Condemned.

Kk, here goes! How's this for a first attempt?

Name: Lara Harfel

Age: 13

Original Appearance: 4ft 10" tall, slim, with short blond hair. She has green eyes and, while not particularly attractive, could still be considered "cute".

Dream Appearance: In the dream world, Lara begins to turn into a manga character. Her eyes grow larger andher apparent colour grows more vibrant. She is still completely 3-dimensional. She becomes taller, slimmer and grows extremly long hair. She wears a scarf around her mouth and nech, and trenchcoat. Her face changes very little.

Personality: Lara is a peculiar person. She likes to appear distant and independant, but secretly adores attention, just so she can brush people off. It is a peculiar personality that is the result of adoration of her elder sister, and determination to be different from her. She is confident and calm, yet often seeks solitude.

Dream Powers: Lara can "Freeze frame", which effectivly means move from one position to another in the blink of an eye, just like what appears to be happening when reading a comic. The can only move a maximum of ten meters however.

Spirit Guardian: A silver snake. It can speak while in snake form, but when Lara holds it by the throat it becomes a long katana with a snake-head pommel. While in sword form, it can only communicate with Lara telepathically.

Backstory: Lara is the second child of a middle class family. Her elder sister, Daisy, is 16 and significantly more attractive than her. Envious of the numerous suitors she kept, Lara developed a cold relationship with her sister, yet idolises her in private. Her apparent duality spread from there. In public she tries to distance herself from her sister, while in private she imitates her outgoing ways, conversing with herself in the mirror.

Their parents are caring and concerned about their daughters' worsening relationship, but with her mother out on buisness frequently, her father is unable, or unwilling, to deal with his youngest daughter's issues.

Any creative criticism is appreciated!

You should make her more Mary Sueish I think.
Not more overpowered I mean more along the lines of a little girl who writes bad fanfiction as an escape mechanism and thus her dream appearance could perhaps reflect that.
I thought it'd be funny if that was the case, given that she likes anime it's not that far a leap to think that she would like if not make her own fanfics up.

So lets go over the rosters we have:

A video game nerd
A neat freak
A cripple
A compulsive liar
A weeaboo Otaku

In any other setting we'd be screwed.
Well except the compulsive liar maybe, he might do well in political games.

She could have the characters in her fanfic come to life in her, a sorta psuedo possesion thing, where she gains their personality, her eyes change to match theirs and she gains a much weaker version of their power, if they have any.

Okay guys, if we can play these characters well and get them to play off each other, this is going to be great.

P.S. I can totally play Warren well because he's a more dramatized version of me. SHOCKING TWIST.

No worries there, its fine! I just wanted to include a couple of suggestions, so is this 2nd draft still ok?

Name: Lara Harfel

Age: 13

Original Appearance: 4ft 10" tall, slim, with short blond hair. She has green eyes and, while not particularly attractive, could still be considered "cute".

Dream Appearance: In the dream world, Lara begins to turn into a manga character. Her eyes grow larger andher apparent colour grows more vibrant. She is still completely 3-dimensional. Personality: Lara is a peculiar person. She likes to appear distant and independant, but secretly adores attention, just so she can brush people off. It is a peculiar personality that is the result of adoration of her elder sister, and determination to be different from her. She is confident and calm, yet often seeks solitude. When alone, she often reads anime, manga and other assorted comics, often writing her own story lines or fan art for them. While this initially was just to be different, it has developed into a real passion for her.

Dream Powers: Lara can "Freeze frame", which effectivly means move from one position to another in the blink of an eye, just like what appears to be happening when reading a comic. The can only move a maximum of five meters however.

Lara can also temporarily assimilate the form of any character she has drawn in the real world. She assumes their physical appearance and gains their attributes, although the extent of their special powers she gains, (if any at all), is unpredictable. Her personality also alters towards theirs. This is incredibly draining however, and cannot be maintained for long.

This even extended to her love of anime and art, as she started a comic strip based around her and her sister, going on epic adventures. Her love of drawing and fan-fiction, as well as her apparent duality, spread from there.

His disapproval of her manga drawing has had serious affects on their relationship however, as it gives her an excuse to draw more as an act of rebellion, something else her elder sister never did.

My thanks to freebie and Redryhno for the suggestions!

This even extended to her love of anime and art, as she started a comic strip based around her and her sister, going on epic adventures. Her love of drawing and fan-fiction, as well as her apparent duality, spread from there.

His disapproval of her manga drawing has had serious affects on their relationship however, as it gives her an excuse to draw more as an act of rebellion, something else her elder sister never did.

My thanks to freebie and Redryhno for the suggestions!
Thanks for getting the updated sheet up so quickly, I'm liking the fanfic ability as that could cause a lot of confusion to both the entities living in the Dream Realm and her fellow mortals. Shape changing is usually restricted to permanent residents of the Dream Realm as it suggests they have lost connection to their original form but its fine as your character only takes forms that she has personally created in the real world and thus has not lost herself.
Her father's disapproval of her manga drawings is good too because that gives me more issues to work with.

Anyhow, your updated sheet is accepted.
