Via Rome: Total War:

"What we do today, we do as servants of the Gods. Ask them for courage and strength! Honour them in your hearts, and they will aid us all! Look to your weapons, but also look to the heavens and raise a might shout in praise of the Gods! Now, to battle!"

One of my favorite anime quotes ever, from Clannad:

"Nagisa: But everything keeps changing. All the fun and happy things are changing. But even so, are you still able to like this place?

Tomoya: Isn't it find as long as you find it? Isn't it fine as long as you find the next fun and happy moments again?"

If you've watched Clannad, that line means a lot to you.

I don't know why, but Kamina from Gurren Lagann makes me feel really inspired.

"Go beyond the impossible and kick reason to the curb!"
- Aforementioned Kamina

"Violence is justified in the service of mankind."
- Attila the Hun

"There will always be people nay-saying. Just tip your hat, adjust your monocle, and walk away while giving them a hearty 'fuck you'."
- One of my close friends

"Don't be afraid to be a fool. Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don't learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying yes begins things. Saying yes is how things grow. Saying yes leads to knowledge. 'Yes' is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say yes." -Stephen Colbert

"Sua Sponte - Of their own accord" -75th Ranger Regiment motto

"De Oppresso Liber" -Green Beret motto (literally, "To Liberate the Opressed"- somewhat fitting considering their role in the early years of Vietnam)

"NSDQ" -Nightstalkers motto (Night Stalkers Don't Quit)

"'Yea, Though I Fly Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death,
I Shall Fear No Evil. For I am at 50,000 Feet and Climbing.'" - Sign over SR71 Wing Ops

"Nobody can change what happened. Nobody can give you the things you really need in life: work, education, love, and hope. You must find them for yourself." -Me, just nao

All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection. So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible
~William Faulkner

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
~Mark Twain

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
~John Stewart Mill

Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive.
~Josephine Hart
