Exercise. Lift some weights, do some push ups, or just do nothing at all. Lay on your bed a bit and meditate (don't sleep).

Or you could do drugs, but that isn't recommended.

Remember a book or movie from your childhood. One that you don't remember entirely - that's important. Like, one that you can only recall little bits from.
Watch it.
The difference between your recollection and the real thing should spark something.

There is one method. Try to look beyond the facade of normal things. Go see something unusual. If you have observation tower or something like that in your city, you can visit it,and see some sights. Taking a walk in the park is also an option. Essentially, some kind of vista is all that's neccesary for inspiraton. At least it works for me.

Actually I generally find, with writing - I'm a terrible artist - that if I force myself to start something it really helps. Just waiting for inspiration nothing ever happens. Start something that you're familiar with and just keep at it until you find something you really want to do. Sometimes if you get yourself into a mental rut the best thing you can do is keep pushing yourself or you'll make yourself depressed that your uninspired and can't do any art and it will only get worse. So force yourself to start something, you never know you may inspire yourself half way through or at least to improve on your attempt.

I usually get ideas when just walking aimlessly around in my town or the nearby forest...

I usually randomly draw things over and over again and get my inspiration from there just combining the different drawings. Hope that helps
