Cracked.com is a brilliant time waster and you can impress people with facts from there that nobody else knows!

I like iheartchaos, and visit it on a daily basis. There's always something interesting / shocking and often NSFW on there.

- Vlogbrothers channel on youtube and by extension the website made for it's viewers www.nerdfighters.ning.com
- Read through the entire webcomic series Questionable Content which is up to comic 2272 good storyline based comic though http://www.questionablecontent.net

Reddit is a massive time sink as well as Tv Tropes and also just randomly wiki'ing the history of places, projects, myths, wars etc is also a good way to kill some time.

Ted Talks is really cool. From technology to politics, theories and writing, a bunch of different speakers talk for under 20 minutes about anything under the sun. Constantly updating, I've just barely tapped into it, but is always a good choice. http://www.ted.com/talks

Radio lab is neat. No video, you just listen to some guys talking about different events in history. I heard a story about a guy who got bombed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Powerful stuff. http://www.radiolab.org/

You can also see QI on youtube. Its a joke gameshow where comedians try to answer really interesting things that very few people know. They are all bewildered by the answers. How many moons does the earth have? Well, one is not the right answer.

CrashCourse and ShiShow are great channels, I can't hardly recommend them enough.
