The idea for this thread arose from a Facebook conversation with a friend, in which we were (mostly) discussing Mega64.
My friend is a big fan of Mega64, and at some point stated that Rocco Botte (the main guy of Mega64) was his favourite "Internet Personality". (I took this to assume Favourite Famous Internet Person, as Urban Dictionary's definition wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.)
So with that in mind, Escapist, who is your favourite internet personality, and why ? With such a loose definition, this can really apply to anyone (or anything), from people who film comedy skits for YouTube or other sites (e.g.:Mega64), or a particular webcomic artist (e.g.:Randall Munroe of xkcd).

As for discussion value, What does someone require to actually Be an internet personality? Does it take someone who possesses real talent and skill, or can it be done by any lolly-gagger with a video camera, a PC and an ability to make people laugh on the Internet with their crazy antics?

Toby Turner. For his literal trailers and his bizarre changes of accent while he talks.

The Guy with the Glasses. I don't know his real name but that's a hell of a handle. His angry reviews of past classics (and not-so-classics) are feckin' funny! Mr. Chipman is a close second.

I'm going to be original and say Yahtzee. Also Mr Glenncom, but only because I know him IRL.

The guys from Magic Hugs or Jon Lajoie.

What it takes? Maybe it's just a matter of luck and timing? Or hard work of spreading your thing? How should I know? It's the internet for christ sake! Nothing makes sense on the internet. Take the Numa Numa-guy, who filmed himself doing a stupid little dance. You tell me why that made him famous! (No offence to all the fans out there.)

Not Randall Munroe, but hat guy from xkcd. Hat guy is amazing.
Oh yes; I do love hat guy. I'll go with hat guy as well, if it's a valid answer that is.

If not: Jerry Holkins (Tycho Brahe) or Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.
