Well Im down with this.

My name is Shadowstar. I'm named after one of my creations, as I write Fantasy books and fanfics in my spare time. The avatar just happened to fit really well as I'm also a huge Sonic fan.

I got here this past summer because of a Moviebob video that was posted on a comic book review site.

My interests include weapon colleting, anime, making music, and pretty much anything else accessible to me.

So yeah, thats about it.
I'm a fellow weapon collector :D

Anyway, I'm Binnsyboy. That's based off of my last name. My first name being Jack. I'm clumsily wading through the academic system at present. While I'd like some decent qualifications, I don't need them for anything I really want to do. After university (which I fully intend to enjoy as much as possible) I'm planning to join the Royal Marines for a few years. After that, I want to settle in America, and try to use my writing talents. Currently, I'm exploring the possibility of doing my university education in America.

I'm William. 21. Been here since July 20th of 2008. Used to be a lot more active, but I still visit everyday, just don't post a lot. I live in New York. And if you're curious as to what I look like, my profile has a picture of me.

If there is a Mr.Pandah elsewhere, it's probably me. That's the username I use for everything now.

If you're new here, enjoy your stay, and if not, hey there again.

I only tend to post when something's taken my interest or has got on my nerves. I generally stalk here pretty regularly and also post when I'm bored, like now.
I listen to a lot of music. Pretty Lights being the best. MMMMMHMMMMmmmmmm [http://last.fm/user/fluffychaos]
SO YEA. That's me. I don't expect to be remembered.
I know I'm going to remember you, because goddamn do I like shiny things.

Bugger it, I've already forgotten your name. >.<

OT: I'm Jess. Manly Jess.
I'm silent, sneaky, light, and other things that make me a perfect ninja. Started being sneaky because my stepdad hated noise when I was younger and was rather short-tempered, so I learned to move silently, speak only if I had something to say, and generally not be noticed. He's much nicer now though, and I wouldn't undo all of it. Love being a ninja. :D
I'm pretty damn pleased with what fate gave me. Willpower, alright looks(?), wonderfully deep voice, and an abnormally strong sense of justice. Got into trouble for that a lot. Oh, and loving parents, knowledgable brother...little sisters.
I like...arses. Ladies arses.

Hmm, looking at all that, I guess I'm like Batman but with parents and less money. Woo!

Greetings! My name is Xaio Majere, a man of 18 years who derives from The Great Mellow. I consider myself to be an philosopher with a knack for computers who always accepts an invitation of debate, whatever the subject might be.

As for entertainment, I enjoy MLP: Friendship is Magic for its songs and humor, Game of Thrones for its ability to take the fantasy genre seriously and Doctor Who for its outlook on the universe; harsh, yet completely what you make of it.

I generally tell people what's on my mind, expecting them to do the same. Honesty and a compulsion of straightening out misunderstandings never go wrong in my opinion.

America? As in the United States? I suggest against that as someone living here. Though that might be the "the grass is always greener" effect talking.

Also, COMMON INTERESTS!

I don't see what there is in something that has TOO cartoony animations, their skin looks shiny in a way and it creeps me out.

*shifty-eyed look around*

I'm Riley. I'm 35 and live in the United States. Collige makez meh teh smartz! I'm currently an undergraduate (junior) studying for a dual degree in history and psychology with a minor in philosophy. Yes, I'm old to be an undergrad. STAY IN SCHOOL, KIDS! I enjoy studying all things related to religion in my spare time and I have a certain affinity for things English.

I live with severe schizoaffective disorder (bipolar + schizophrenia) and as such, don't leave my apartment anymore than I absolutely have to. People seriously freak me out. Not in the, "Gahhh, I hate people!" way, but in the, "OMG! It's a human! How do I act?" sort of way. I take plenty of medication, which keeps me from having to kill anyone terribly often. I kid, I kid. I've yet to kill anyone, though I do understand what drives people to take guns to work.

I have two cats - a flame-point Balinese and a marble tabby DSH. They're the closest beings I'll ever have to children. Mostly because I can't stand children. I call my cats my "15lb Xanax". I also have a small flock of finches in a very large cage. I really like all animals except dogs, which I know is kind of weird. I'm scared of dogs, though.

I actually am not a gamer. I ended up here a little over a year ago after searching for something music related on Google.. I stayed and lurked.. and finally felt enough of an urge to say something that I registered an account. My username is just a play on the "Name (required)" that you often see when registering a new account somewhere. So, yeah.. no games for me except the occasional text-based RPG stuff.

I like to say I listen to a lot of music, but although it was true a few years ago, it isn't so much anymore. I listen mostly to a couple of bands: Blue October (US) and Taking Back Sunday. Feel free to judge me on my taste in music, I don't care. I will return the favor, in fact. I stopped listening to most stuff because it stopped appealing to me. If it helps you feel better, I also listen to Shostakovich.

I watch documentaries and read non-fiction - not because I think I'm better than other people, but because I have no imagination for fictional things. I like facts and reason and logic and all that. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Equally, emotions are bad.

Fast facts:

- I'm dyscalculic. Math is my mortal enemy.
- I love procedural crime dramas (Criminal Minds, Bones, NCIS, Law & Order) and Doctor Who.
- I broke my scapula in a skateboarding accident. This mystified a first-year resident at the ER who told me, quote, "I have no idea how to treat this. I've only seen it in a book once."
- I am afraid of the dark. More accurately, what might be in the dark that I can't see because it's too dark!
- When I am rich and famous, I shall take up residence in London.

I also like to play in the mud and intentionally shock people (with static electricity, not my language).

Why yes, yes it is. I've been collecting a lot of KS art since it's release, some funny chibis, some really amazing actual drawings. PM me if you would like it also. On that same note, I'm almost always on msn/skype, got them both linked in my profile. Add me if you want me to send em :p.

Sadly many people in my near surrounds wouldn't understand either
A) the concept of those kind of novels/games/readings/japanese things and
B) Wouldn't even be able to read English

its a shame really, KS is such a great novel, its the first time I've actually read such a thing and I really was amazed at the strength of it.
I wish I knew more people like me^^ All I'd get are funny looks for having read such a thing, not that I mind though, to each their own, I just think the people around me are quite closed and not that acceptable to social stigma's. Oh well.

After reading trough your original post here by the way I figured you'd go for Rin rather than Lilly? Its what I did and that cost me a tear or 2 ^^

word of advice - do NOT complete Rin's story successfully the first time and get curious as how to fuck it up. I came back to the storyline and deliberately took a wrong turn at the ending. You have no idea how awful I've felt after I've read trough that part, even more so that I knew how the successful route went. Its a complete contrast as to what you're supposed to do ;(

ugh, here I am babbling about that damn novel again xD
It just got to me so hard.

Yay I love this kind of thread and knowing the people behind the avatars a bit more.

My name is Inigo Montoya... err, Robert Ayling, but I prefer to go by Rob. I'm 20 years old, my favorite color is purple, my favorite food is Unagi sushi (not the obligatory pizza or whatever, I know its weird), and I prefer cats although I do have 2 dogs. I'm going to a community college and taking classes towards computer programming with hopes to work on video games some day. My job is being supervisor at an ice cream shop inside of a private campground. It's seasonal, so unfortunately I don't have paychecks until I go back near the end of March. I originally got here in January 2010 due to the Darksiders Unskippable, but I lurked for a few months before creating my account. I personally don't really like my username that much anymore, but I didn't realize you could only change it once until I fixed a typo in it, but whatever lol.

I'm bi with a stronger attraction to guys, but my relationship status is at a stand-still due to no one other than the internet and a very small handful of close friends knowing that. I'm also a kinda-shy-of-the-community furry. I draw and like the styles a lot, but I've never fur-suited or gone to a con which I guess makes me feel a bit timid to those who are really into it. My personality is that I'm very shy to begin with, but I open up pretty quickly to my witty/random humor side. This leads to a close group of friends who actually took the time to approach the lonely looking kid and a whole bunch of other people still thinking that I'm weird.

One of my main hobbies is playing heavy metal / hard rock music on my ESP guitar. I'm not very good, but I love it and I know enough to play some good rhythm riffs and read music. I also do a lot of "nerd" stuff like:
-Magic the Gathering (favorite decks are RG Warp World and UW control)
-D&D (favorite edition is 3.5 and class is monk or rogue)
-playing video games (some favorites are Persona 4, Skyrim, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 (duh, username), and LoZ: Windwaker)
-Reading (I like Lovecraft, Poe, Shakespeare, George Orwell, Anthony Burgess, and Ayn Rand)
-and watching anime (I don't really watch a lot, but FLCL is my favorite thing to exist and Slayers is really awesome too)

I like a ton of music of many genres. Pretty much the only genres I greatly dislike are country and rap, but even then there's a rare gem of those that I do like. Out of my near 3,000 song itunes library, I'd say my favorite band would be Korn (and yes, even the dubstep/metal mix stuff. In fact, it's some of my favorite). Also, I try to go to a concert at least once every because they're one of the most fun things to exist. I've been to 5 so far which are Blue Man Group, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Ozzfest 2007, Mayhemfest 2010, and Warped Tour 2011. I'd like to go to Warped Tour again this year if the lineup is decent.

Uh, my room is pretty cool. I have 2 large framed posters which are Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare album art and a Magic the Gathering poster I won from a tournament that features all of the Planeswalkers. There's also a shelf with signed copies of Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe 2, Lamb of God's Sacrament, and Static-X's Cannibal on it. Above that is a framed dollar bill with signatures from Psychostick because I had nothing else for them to sign when I met them. Finally, I have a small collection of dragon figures around my room. Stone, plastic, big, small, I have about 6 altogether + a grim reaper statue that's pretty bad ass.

Okay, I think that's about everything really. There's not a whole lot going on at the moment other than school, work, music, nerd stuff, and concerts. Anyway, now you know more about THE KefkaCultist! (I really do dislike my username lol)

I'm WaReloaded, pleased to make your acquaintance (this extends to everyone). My real name is Matthew (or Matt) and I'm a fan of Bruce Campbell, having said that, the word fan is an understatement. I'm Australian and I currently reside in Victoria (which is also the state in which I was born.) Also, I've yet to meet someone that enjoys Star Trek as much as I do, actually, now that I think about it, I don't really know anyone that even enjoys Star Trek at all.

Sure why not.

I'm Ziadaine, or more commonly known as Tim/Trixxter, 21, I work as an IT Contractor, Work in a Bottle-O store, A Youth Ambassador and currently studying for a Bachelor of Teaching in Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology. I suffer from a severe personality disorder from a young age in which I mimicked people's personalities of whom I looked up to to try and find myself and escape my problems. Long story short, I have no recollection of my own personality, aside from the slight snark in my posts, but I never mean to come off as an ass. I also run the technology help corner thread in Advice for PC and other various technology stuff.

I guess one of my goals of life is to learn as much as I can, human anatomy, medical, psychology, teaching, martial arts, survival, etc. I dont know why but I feel it'll help one day to have all these experiences.

Despite my err.. complexity, I'm still somewhat sane, I'm always trying to help young people through tough times which is what inspired me to become a Youth Ambassador, I listen to al sorts of music (minus extreme screamo and country), I have a slight OCD with symmetry, I'm Bisexual however I've lost my will for relationships recently after losing my partner.

BUT despite that shit im just another average person. ...Gah, hate these things, life story boards right there.

Sooo yeah, If you ever need an ear for anything, Technology, Emotional, Physical etc dont hesitate to chat.

I'm Neon. Age 15. Male.

I'm about as average as a fold-out chair, but I make up for it with wit and jokes. I'm very friendly, too.

I have an unusual obsession with a certain JRPG called Persona 4

I enjoy anything having to do with geek/nerd/gamer culture and I am also a brony. Yeah, I said it, although I like to keep it under lock-and-key most of the time.

The Escapist is also my internet home because of the uncountable hours I spend on here.

Name's Matt. I've been on the Escapist since 2010, but haven't been on much at all as of late because my computer died. Been using my PS3 since but the system can't handle the new interface, which sucks.

Currently living with family while I go to college to get a degree in secondary education. I love anything and everything to do with social science; history, psychology, sociology, all of it and hope to learn and teach as much of it as humanly possible.

I have an awesome puppy whom I'm trained to play hide-and-seek. He sniffs me out every time I hide though, but it's still fun. I figured out that he needs to see either movement or skin to tell exactly where I am so I started wearing a hoodie to cover my face and hands. Kinda the OctoCammo for animals, it's hilarious.

Thanks to a delay in college I have the next few months off so my days are spent trudging through Dark Souls with my runny, jumpy assassin character.

Persona 4 is amazing! I only just got it for Christmas, but I've been playing it a ton and I'm loving every minute of it.
