I only invert it for jet combat.

Everything else is left.

my mind is "trained" to relate up with up, and down with down. Really hard for me to describe, when I invert the Y.. it just feels.. wrong You know?

PC gamer here tho, so it may be different with analog.

Inverted for me, drives me mad that practically every game is set up uninverted and has to be changed.

Inverted all the way! I'm pretty sure even in the megadrive days I played my FPS like that so un-inverted just freaks me out, end up looking into the sky before getting taken out trying to change it.

My brother and I always disagree on this. He argues "well it's not like you're flying a plane" but me just playing without an inverted Y-axis just doesn't feel right.

The only reason the Y-axis would ever be inverted for me is for a flying section. Loves mah un-inverted setup.

I do use inverted and it is for a simple reason:

When you want to look up in real life you have to move you head back. When you want to look down you have to move it forward.

To me it just feels more natural.

Oh and btw, 600th Post! Time for a kirby dance.

Inversion just makes sense. Think about it this way: when you're operating a camera, you're behind it. You don't move up to make the camera look up, you move down. That just makes sense when translating into video games.

I also invert both my horizontal and vertical axis for third-person camera control: because I don't move my perspective, I move myself, my camera. It's just logical, really.

I personally don't since I played pc fps before console fps it just makes sense that moving the stick (mouse) forward, moves the screen up.

I heard people that played flight sims more love inverted.

Never personally thought about controlling a camera, Thaius, it makes more logical sense to me that you're moving your eyes (move eyes/head up to look up).

for third person shooters, I have the camera normal (up is up, down is down) for first person shooters, I invert.

my controls for MGS4 are a clusterfuck, but for me they work. My friend threw the controller when trying to play MGS4 with my settings.

I do invert the Y-axis and it pisses my friends of when we're playing you die you pass.

OT-The very first game and one of my favorite was Star Wars Rogue Squadron and since it was a flying game it was alreaady inverted so it just kind of stuck.

I'm a convert. I used to hate it, and since I was probably forced to use it, or something, for a short amount of time, I ended up preferring it. Now it takes me forever to adjust when switching back.

Most of the time! I find it infuriating if a game doesn't have the option to invert.

Only for flying vehicles. For everything else I've just kind of grown onto normal Y-axis, Despite being raised off of Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator.

Way too confusing, when I flick the analog up I want to look up, not down so I can watch as my bullet misses and I get stabbed.
