Invisibility or Flight?

Not many people look up, but in the average girls locker room people look at, you get a pretty clear view of the ceiling just by looking normally (that's under the assumption it's roughly the same as the boy's locker room at the few schools I've been to).

Then you have to deal with the fact few ceilings are easily grippable and somebody WILL eventually look up, (and suction cups are INSANLY noisy), so you can't use looming to your advantage.

Also, getting there to loom would be a problem. I mean, unless you intend to pick the lock to the girls gym/wherever you want to perv and hang in the ceiling until class starts, somebody is going to notice you get into position.

Right now? I would have to say flight...I guess when I was younger I would have chosen invisbility but now that I'm 15...I actually want to go places, but I don't have rides.

I pick... Invisibility.

Reason: It's rlly simple, actually. Once I gain my invisibility, I create my own freak circus in which all I have to do is go invisible, then reappear. This would obviously since make lots of money since... I mean rlly, who wouldn't want to see a dude disappear and reappear o.o

It wouldn't take me long to get a lot of money... Enough money for oooo... I don't know... A private plane or mabe a JetPack of some sort.

Because I like reading why people would choose one over the other. This way they can't just click a button without explaining why.

Zak , the whole ideea of flying and becoming invisible isn't really easy to do with a human body , so if you can magically fly and become invisible , why couldn't you fly as fast as a plane... and with the maneuvrablity(don't know how to spell it) of a falcon . you could hover over the city , or go anywhere at any given moment , that's the beauty of it , you can't take a plane to you grandma's village can you , that's what i'm talking about . invisibility in my opinion is just for some pranks , or some peeping , small things , you can't just rob a bank , the have movement sensors that detect any movement , and the work like a sonar , then you have heat detectors , fingerprints if you're too dump not to wear gloves...

Moderately long time lurker, first time poster. I just felt compelled to respond to this.

To be completely honest, this thread has given me cause to worry, significantly, about the mental conditions of those online, as well as generally (seems like everything on the internet does this) lower my stock in humanity. Discussing the various disgusting or at the very least, immoral, uses for invisibility, honestly... But, there seems to be a thing you're overlooking. Unless you stay invisable 100% of the time, you may very well get caught, as you leave bits and pieces of yourself wherever you go, whether or not people will notice it at the time. However, when you start the murdering/robbing/whatever, you'll likely get forensic investigation of the scene. And, if you participate in human society whatsoever, this may be tracked back to you. Additionally, breaking into fort knox/whatever isn't near as easy as you all seem to think. Invisible or not, there is still such a thing as a bank vault, infrared sensors, and other various techniques of detecting invisible people (and, yes, I'm sticking to this point. The name of the thread is 'invisibility or flight' not 'undetectability or flight'). And, if the authorities know you are 'invisable' (or, at least, very good at not being seen), they will be significantly less restrained in the methods they use to apprehend you, rather than allow a murderer/rapist/whatever else to continue as a menace to the public.

This brings me nicely to my next point: Publicity. Yes, Flying is much more obvious, but it is also much, much less likely to have you locked away preemptively, because of the near-impossibility it would be to attempt to catch an invisable when induldging in nastier vices or committing other acts that society doesn't usually tolerate, when the same is not true for a flying person. If you could fly, yes, you might frighten some people, but I'd say that you're just as likely to be looked as a quaint trick, a badge of honor for your country, being the only 'super'human on the planet. By contrast, if you had the potential to do an endless list of detrimental things, without most anyone being able to stop you, or even defend themselves, I don't doubt that most 'normals' would think twice about having you locked up for good. And, if they designed somewhere for you to be kept, going invisable wouldn't help, they could just gas you to sleep, then restrain you, as necessary. As such, I would say flight, as, really, I don't have too terribly many inhumane or perverse ideas that I'm too much of a coward to try out as I am. Besides, the travel possibilities of flight are frankly, fantastic, as long as one assumes that it's superman-or-better level flight, regardless of the various impossibilities that'd represent (because you have at least as many with workable invisibility).

Ultimately only my take on it, however.

I have to go with invisibility. Apart from the obvious voyeristic opportunities, you'd be able to sneak into just about anywhere, and do nearly anything with little consequence, provided you were sneaky enough. Flying is overrated. Come across one really angry guy with a gun, and you're looking at getting grabbed by the Duck Hunt dog, if you catch my drift.

I'd have to go with Flight simply becuase it stops working becuase someone knows a person can do that an decides to put on some special glasses/goggles I.E. Thermal or Blacklight related gear inwhich case your invisiblity would be less than useless if you took on a life of grand theft (Someone would notice stuff seemingly vanish over a period of time an think out of the box an get the above mentioned stuff) Same could happen for Assassins I would think.
Flight though you could do legal vetures an could likly have less people trying to kill you can going against nature an possibly being a demon but as far as i can tell some can't stop you from flying by putting on a pair of glasses it just seems better as a stand alone power.... unless it somehow it's before the invention of the above problems.

If the flight can be reduced to a float or hover mode then I could counter your act with a walking on water act, floating with a Ring passing complety around me, walking on a ... burning tightrope that comes out from under me while wearing a blindfold an keep walking or hopping in a box with Mirrored glass an make it look like someone else can levitate it with a person inside.

Oh an since no one seems to think personal flight has any ability for assassination then how about if your target is boarding a plane private or public you put on a lite armored/bullet proof suit with mask of course fly quick an low to the plane seconds after it takes off an attach a bomb no way it could land safely in 3 minutes an if a oxygen tank was present then "flying" under water to loose any followers wouldn't be too difficult granted the flying method isn't based on wind or air.
