I actually think this thing is a good idea.
There are people who just need something simple that can surf the web, store photos, and let them update their facebook. They need the processing power of a laptop and the iphone screen is too small. If this thing is reasonably priced I might pick one up for my girlfriend.
And not everything has to play the latest and greatest games.

No, I fully agree with you. I think if it is <$500 I will pick one up.

This is failure to the extreme. The full-sized QWERTY keyboard is what pushed it over the edge for me.

If you want a tablet, wait for the Notion Ink Adam. It takes a dump all over the iPad.

Why oh why does anyone one want to have this? If you want to have something that you can use to browse the web on the move why not use either a smartphone or an netbook . . . rather then an oversized (and probably priced) iphone.

It's clearly more of a response to the Kindle than anything else. I won't be buying one because the reflective, non-backlit display is the Kindle's chief innovation, but if I got one for free through a contest or a deal or something I would use the hell out of it.

It seems that apple tried to put a kindle, iphone, netbook,
tablet, TV, tampon, and Swiss army knife all in one (OK, not the last one).
I im not an apple fan, actual quite the opposite,
but i have to admit that there hand held devices are quite nice
so i wont slander this until I try it for my self
