How the hell is Spiderman going to be in this? Doesn't some other studio own the rights for Spiderman?
I thought Marvel owned all the rights to their characters.??

Yes, Marvel owns the character, but Sony holds the film rights to all Spider-Man related characters. But really, why even bother using Iron Patriot if you can't use Norman Osborn? All I can say is I hope the Mandarin really does show up in this film. Been waiting to see him since the first Iron Man was announced.

Holy shit, I was not expecting that! The Iron Patriot is Norman Osborn in the comics. Yes that Norman Osborn.

EDIT: Hero in a half shell's right. They'll have to change the story as they won't have the license to use Norman Osborn. Still pretty cool though.
Actually, I'm curious. Sony only holds the rights as long as their Spiderman movies continue to do well. What if Marvel and Disney have done some background politicking to get the IP back? Maybe they bought the IP back with Disney's cash backing Marvel, or Spectacular Spiderman might be a dud.

Either way, neat suit of armor.
I wouldn't have thought so. Sony would be far too reluctant to sell that back
Unless they knew that Spectacular Spider Man would be a flop. In which case for all we know, they've agreed to sell the IP back to make up losses.

I seriously doubt they'd abandon the IP that easily, especially as the movie isn't even out yet.

Maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic for bringing Spidey back into the Marvel family.

Don't worry I feel your pain :'( I want Marvel to buy back X-Men too. Just think of all the things they could do with the Avengers if they had the X-Men license.

A part of me wishes they gave Cap an Iron Man suit. I doubt that, as apparently it's Norman Osbourne, and they can't use him, I'd bet it's Justin Hammer.
