This. Although for me, you could include any of that genre. The God of War series included. I've no idea why I have this severe loathing - I've never even extensively played any of them.

Oh here we go again. Another thread where the Halo-haters, Call of Duty-haters, and many other haters of the "popular game industries" will pop out and voice their opinion again.

So I am going to assume that everyone here hates a popular game since it seems that person here hates games that are popular. Halo, Gears of War, Modern Warfare, Metal Gear and the list goes on.

For me, I don't really hate a game so much as I am uninterested. Metal Gear series never really interested me. I don't really know why...perhaps too long winded much? I can't really give a real reason, it just never piqued my interest. I don't really hate the games so much as I hate the fanbase behind them. I can see why they like the games, but I can't see why they have to hate on the games I like because they think theirs is better.

Opinions are great, but opinions are not facts, but then how do you define "success?" I figure look at the fan base it has. If it has a strong following, then the game is good. Even if you don't like it doesn't mean it is a "bad game."

Like I said, opinions are not facts and should not be treated like them either.

Games with turn based combat. I don't want to tell my guy what to do, watch him do it then watch the other guy do stuff back over and over. I want to kill the living crap out of him before he even has a chance to bleed!

Also anything on the Wii. Also the Wii. It's a coaster ffs.

As much as i like JRPG's (unlike everyone else in this thread) I'm getting really fed up with the Legend of Zelda series (excluding ocarina and majora) its the SAME BLOODY GAME EVERY TIME.
Say what you want about final fantasy having lame stories, at least its more complicated than 'Gannon's back, save Zelda'.

Games that relies on dice rolls in video games tick me off too, cause all your strategy accounts for naught when a virtual dice lands on zero (in real life you can beg the gm for re-rolls )... Add card based games to that too.

Myst. If I saw Myst at a bar, I would punch it in the face. I even played through it because I figured I was missing something that everyone was raving about for so long. Nope, terrible, non-sensical, slide show of a game.
