An irrational hatred is one that doesn't possess a logical reason for being. For example, I hate jewellry. I absolutely detest it, and I have no idea why. It isn't as if earrings killed my family, but I get a feeling of uncomfortable revulsion from it.

So, I thought it'd be interesting to see what else people around here hate. After all, there might be patterns forming. So, what do you absolutely detest (or mildly dislike) without a good reason?

EDIT: Also, opening this up to irrational fears as well.

I fucking hate crowds, cities, and suburbs. They seem, I don't know, off.

I also hate lectures, they just infuriate me.

EDIT: Fears now, too? Awesome. I'm deathly afraid of spiders, it's the way they move...

Smooth things. Like a smooth table top, or a pole. I mean, I don't mind looking at them, but it actually hurts for me to touch them, or run my hand along them. I just get this weird, painful sensation in my arm. I can think of reasons for everything else I hate, so they're not as irrational. Anyhow, I don't hate very many things. I just dislike them. Hating is hard work.

I hate people talking about football. They can be (and usually are) my best friends but once they start talking about football my eyes glaze over and I start having daydreams where I shoot them all in the kneecaps and choke them to death...
...
So, that's just me then...

Spiders, they just lope around not contributing anything to society and reacting violently to any perceived threat.

Also Juggalos, for pretty much the exact same reasons.

I got a fear of ocean sunfish.I Only once saw one in an huge aquarium, but they haunted my nightmares for years
and i dont really know why we call them "moonfish" down here

actually the thought of anything in deep lakes or the ocean that i cant see swimming underneath me gives me the creeps.

I'd say spiders but my fear is perfectly natural, anything with that many legs cannot be up to anything good.

I absolutely abhor sand. I hate it so much, I almost never go to the beach, and the fact that it makes me reluctant to go to the beach makes me hate it even more.
Also, I will shoot myself before I let a spider get anywhere near me.

Dang, beat me to the Juggalos.

Hmmm, other than wanna-be clowns?

Wasp. Well, all types of flying stinging insect, really. But only the stingers that fly. I guess because they can nail you from any angle at any time. They seek me out, I swear.

I don't really have any. I'm not a fan of makeup on girls, especially lipstick, but I can live with it.

Most of my hatreds are completely rational. Although I'm not a fan of giant millipedes

I am really afraid of heights. If I get too close to the edge of a building or anything else tall, I start to get this fear in the pit of my stomach that I'm going to fall.

No no no, bracelets did that...

OT: I hate sudden loud noises, unusually so, most people jump and get a little annoyed but I go a little...berserk.

A certain Ugandan MP [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8412962.stm]. Oh wait. That's no so irrational.

An irrational fear and hatred I have would probably be of spiders. Really not that dangerous or threatening towards me, but I still hate and fear them.

I have a irrational fear of being alone in a room with windows. The strangest thing though, is that this fear only exists in my own house.
