More because they're almost-but-not-quite-humanish than because of the naked chests themselves. Being male myself and having seen plenty of action movies, I know what a male chest looks like.

I'm going to have to agree with most posts in this thread. Something so shocking and disturbing as that should be simply killed with fire. No more, no less.

I wasn't disturbed until I realised that they weren't women. Now I am very, very disturbed.

It upset and disturbed me one because of like you say they are shirtless and shiny and two because I freaking hate twilight but love the escapist. Its like finding a freshly baked donut but upon closer inspection you notice it has shit smeared all over it. Shirtless shiny shit lol.

Ummmm...

So?

I fail to see what the big deal/ problem is...
People like to hate Twilight, self included, so when something such as that picture shows up on the home, well you don't very well expect for people to not use it as an excuse to complain about something twilight related, do you?

I am very very VERY disturbed by that. Granted if you ever want to watch Twilight I highly recommend renting it then paying 3.99 US for the RiffTrax for Twilight and watching it that way. Trust me....It's hilarious.

I wish I wasn't such a literary snob and so could ignore anything related to this fad
Agreed. But really the super fans make it unbearable. I could stand it if some people didn't constantly vomit up praise for it.

OT: I wasn't necessarily creeped out as much and terrified that they were going to make a game for that rot. It wasn't great as a book or a movie and it wouldn't transfer well into game unless you got to be a modern day Van Helsing. But still I'm tired a looking at that picture every time I click on a certain page.

I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be the Twilight faction leaders and likely character models for some god-awful pathetic attempt at a video game based on the series. Though I'm sure that's obvious just from looking at them.

Recall that they're neither men (of any kind) nor legitimate vampire/werewolf specimens of intelligent or semi-intelligent fiction, they're just the poster boys for defamation of character as it applies to all pre-twilight fictional depictions of vamps/wolves. They don't deserve to look good, in any format, or to be taken seriously. In one respect it might actually be good for them to appear rather sickening, as it helps reinforce that they actually are to most of us that aren't part of the Twilight cult.

There are characters that one might love to hate because that's the part the character is playing, they're good at what they do because they make us dislike them or what they do as part of a storyline. There are others that we hate because, usually for a mountain of reasons, they suck, such as an AI partner that who is ten times more useless/annoying/horrible/crippling-to-be-stuck-with than they ever are helpful. To many these guys are neither, they're easy to hate because of the audience they draw and the way in which they, and the audience, actively work at eroding everything we used to love about something even remotely similar.

Thankfully we're starting to see some counter to it, with films like Daybreakers and The Wolfman.

Hm, I seem to be a bit off topic. Oh wells.

It was awkward last night when I was reading the article and my sisters friend walks past and sees the two of them topless. She refused to listen to my explanation.
