Is anyone else psyched for the upcoming Avatar: The Legend of Korra mini-series?

The original was a lot of fun to watch, the only thing that dissapointed me about this sequel was the fact that it is a "mini-series". Still, the concept seems interesting enough, and if they include as much depth of character in the new breed, then I'm sure it'll be pretty fantastic. I am quite looking forward to it :D

This is perhaps the most disappointing news I have heard this year. Why the hell do they feel they need to force in more of a storyline to an already perfect ending. It will be just like bioshock 2, and we will be all the worse as a species from it's effect on our minds. Goddamnt, and things were starting to get good too.

Gah. I was worried we would have to endure a new James Camron movie so soon.

I loved Avatar though, glad to hear there will be more of it.
Good to see i was not the only one.

I'm really looking forward to comic-con to learn more about this, the sketches so far look awesome.

I'm not too excited, but that's more on account of having heard nothing about it since the original announcement. I have a hard time getting excited about something if I haven't heard anything in ages. Heck, I didn't even remember about this until a few weeks ago when stumbling across a teaser promo on an image site.

That said, I really like the original series and hope that this new series is just as good. I just don't see the point in hyping myself up over something I hear nothing about.

Definitely looking forwards to it! Only recently heard of it, though, but I think it will be a good series, albeit being a mini-series... I hope they will include the same depth of character, as well as the seriousness and the contrast of the wacky humour in this one. That was two aspects of the series I really enjoyed, and could relate to.

Aang and Katara at the end of the series kissing/ probably procreating with each other.
What.

I'm sure you agree that that's quite a conclusion jump now isn't it? Aren't the two characters intended to be twelve years old? Unless this new story arc takes place a good chunk of years after the fall of the Fire Nation I would hold my breath on this.

And probably stop being so innocently perverse.
This new series takes place 70 years later, and Aang and Katara's son will be teaching the next avatar airbending. Yes, their son. So Piction Froject is correct.
And his name is Tenzin, btw.

Anyway...*looks at own avatar*...yeah, I think I'm quite exited to see the new series. Must be patient, as it comes out sometime in 2012. I'm glad it will be a proper lenght series, or well 24 episode atleast are commitioned so far, so it's not too short. I'm interested to see how they will add the original cast there, whether it be just mentions or actual cameos (Avatar Aang in the spirit world, yay?)

Also, it's supposed to be a bit more mature, with the characters being older than the first cast, we'll see how that will turn out.

But hey, that isn't everything we have to look forward to. There is supposed to be a novel of some sort detailing the original characters journeys after the series final, coming out in June/July. I wish I could buy it here...maybe amazon or something has it so I can order it.

I think this should have been in the OP:

PS: I think we have an Avatar: the last airbender Group here in the Escapist, if fans of the series could join that, could bring some life to the otherwise dead group, heh.
