is anyone getting exited about the new starwars game knights of the old republic?

I don't know what he's trying to get at but he's wrong. Its an MMO, you pay for it with a subscription. There's no singleplayer game.

I think he's gotten mixed up that you can do the quests by yourself and not have to have a group of others, but you'll still be online. There's no true KotOR singleplayer mode.

And each class will have its own storyline but you're still going to get other people doing the exact same thing as you, not to mention the writing will most likely be of a lesser quality given how much extra content is required.

It's on my radar and a part of me is screaming with joy that this may very well replace the hole in my heart that was Star Wars Galaxies.

Until they announce that droids are a playable race, or announce races at all for that matter, I won't show much interest in this game. Star Wars Galaxies has heavily scarred me after New Game Enhancement, and as such I won't trust this game to live up to its promise... no matter who is in charge of it.

My thoughts exactly. Have Bioware ever made a bad game? Not that I can remember. Have they done a good job with a Star Wars game before? Yes.
All probability states that this will be awesome!

I played the Sonic RPG they made, which had the terrible curse of Sonic inflicted upon it. It was terrible, despite BioWare's watchful eyes.

Who is this Sonic that you speak of? I think I remember that name from way back, but recently I seem to have forgotten who that is. See? I don't remember any bad BioWare games. When you really think about it, do you?

I will agree that the original KOTOR (which was Bioware's baby, so it's in good hands again) is my favorite game of all time.

Ah, I take it you haven't heard? Fan-made patches/mods/stuff have been released recently that polish up the game to a damn near complete shine. If you liked the first, you have to look it up. The downloads are linked in an Escapist article from a couple months back.

Well yeah, I'd heard of it, but I don't have a high-end gaming PC rig - I played KOTOR on the Xbox. No mods for me.

My high end laptop wont play KOTOR II so i cant play the new mod that fixed the game ;-;

But yeah, it looks absolutely awesome, but i really wish they had just made KOTOR III instead of an mmo

About three years ago. The video card sometimes crashes while playing WoW, just for some perspective. >_>'
But yeah, hopefully boyfriend will get me a better one for Christmas and I'll have a nicer setup just in time for The Old Republic!
