I havnt seen much hype for it. Watched the trailers when they were released but thats about it. We all know what to expect from The Avengers. Same as the last one but bigger and better. :)

For now im hyped for the new Mad Max movie.

I don't know really, as you said, quite small amounts of advertisment going on.
Among my friends the next Avengers has a pretty "anti hype" going on. My friends and I didn't really know much about the Comic book universes, I read some X-men and Spidey as a kid but nothing much and not follow the stories too much, just random comics I got my hands on. So then there's Thor and IronMan and whatnots and they make the Avengers and all my friends come with me to the cinema and when we exit they all have full hardons and can't stop talking about the movie for several weeks.
Now with Avengers2, they are all just talking about how it possibly can't be as good as the first one and so on... Not sure why, but let them. I will go to the movies to watch it, and I will most likely enjoy it, how good it will be I will determine after I've seen it :D

It probably is to everybody but not me (last time I saw it was that other trailer with the tease at the end) which is probably good since I don't want to be over exposed.

They haven't seen anything yet.

That first movie was so simple and barely beginning to scratch the surface....

I think I get where you're coming from, O.P. Maybe?

Yeah, it doesn't seem like there's as much talk anywhere, internet included, about Avengers 2. When the first movie was coming, it was nearly impossible to get away from it. Articles were being run about the characters. Websites were buzzing with rumors and even T.V. shows that usually never touch the 'nerd' stuff were at least mentioning it. But Avengers 2 has been considerably less...present in the world. There was that first reveal trailer that everyone talked about for like, a week, and then nothing, despite the fact that there's been another trailer, extended trailer, and a new commercial. I mean, the only talk I've seen about it is on Disney XD, and that was months ago when these two kids were interviewing Thor about the movie and he was being coy.

Now, once the movie draws closer and even comes out, it's going to be everywhere. But until then, yeah, it doesn't seem like this movie is getting as much hype.
Of course, that could also be because MovieBob is no longer with this site, and I got a lot of my info from him in regards to this stuff.

I honestly didn't even know this movie was being made. I haven't had TV since 2007 and I steer clear of intentionally searching movie trailers, so I never know what's coming out unless my girlfriend mentions something or someone at work says something. Guess it's time to check out when it's coming to theaters so I can set aside some time to go see it since I loved the first movie.

That's sort of how I am thinking too. But then again I think it's good that they are all thinking like that, because if the second one is at least as good as the first one, then they will have no idea what hit them xD

I am personally trying to keep expectations quite low with movies/games, then there is less of a chance for a huge disapointment.

I will be honest here, the only reason I want to see the new Avengers, is the way they plan all their movies to be connected.
I mean, Jesus Christ, I think they have plans to release another 10 MArvel movies, which I think the Studio will make sure all of them will give hints for other 100+ movies in the future.
This is beatiful.

Releasing a trailer every now and then is keeping the movie relevant.
There's no point in a campaign with billboards and bus ads more than a month away because it will eat up the marketing budget fast and by the time the movie will come out, the excitement will be gone.
This movie will most likely be the highest grossing movie of the year.
It will be at the number 1 spot at the box office for 3 weeks (no, Mad Max will not beat it, at least I don't think it will) and it will be pushed to number 2 by Tomorrowland, which is another Disney thing.
It's all calculated, they know what they're doing.

We got about two months before the movie actually launches. Most advertising circuits change monthly so we most likely won't see printed advertisement for it until April or early May.
