Compared to BF2, BF3 so far does not seem near as good. There is no longer a Commander's position, the jets and choppers have been completely nerfed and if you don't want to play in a certain map you have to completely quit the game and start it back up again to get into another server when the round is over.

I've been more pissed off and frustrated at this game than I have had fun.
They're talking about patching Commanders in Comrade.. :)

I would say if you have friends to play with/a private server, and you don't mind a slightly more team orientated game, then you will enjoy it.

Though as the afore-quoted fellow mentions, the server browse/game setup for multiplayer.. is weird..

Its all setup (on PC anyway) in your web browser (on battlelog community site) from which you'll boot into the game server of your choice..

Ingame spawns on TDM can be retardedly annoying, spawning you infront of enemies, or behind them in some cases, bit imbalanced on some maps.. good on others *shrugs*.. conquest and rush are still very fun and theres only been a couple of occasions for me where I've felt cheated in a gunfight *shrug*..

Ask a mate to play it on their pc/console for a few hours to get a feel for it and see how you feel..

Then buy off of Amazon (__>

No. I bought it, returned it the 3 days later. That's my opinion. Others may disagree. I finished the single player. played a bit of multi did not enjoy my experience at all. Single play had WAY to many QTE in it for a FPS. Multiplayer the guns didn't feel right, vehicle's handle like drunk rhinoceros's on unicycles. Controls are unintuitive. All in all did not enjoy the game.

Some of my friends love it and praise it as their new god. I personally did not enjoy it.
Yeah it was kind of like half life 2, in all the clunky-ness and unwieldy-ness of the controls, it was almost as bad as CODs, but I would say the vehicles are so bad that they pretty much make them on even playing fields, I mean you cant even tell were you are going half the time.

It was a bit dodgy on launch and until early this week but now the lag is gone along with some other issues. Still some problems though, crashes & graphical.

On air vehicles: if a good pilot gets behind you with the main cannon you've got one hell of a job trying to lose him, that's when you hope you've got some good anti air to lead them into or a friendly jet to come up behind him. All in all I think they've balanced out now that the unlocks are there.

I do wish they'd add more transport vehicles though. About 5 - 6 people get left to run on a 64 man server. The ability to create fresh squads would be nice too, so that you can choose who you're going with.

Its a great game if you can get over the fact that the community complains about the SMALLEST things instead of realizing all the amazing experiences they have had throughout their playing.

First few days will be a bit odd. You may not like your first day or two of multi. But once you get used to the gameplay and get an idea of what you are doing, it's really, really, really fun!

Define good. If you're looking at it from a multiplier or control standpoint, it's very good, if your looking at it from a visual or audio standpoint, it's amazing. But if what you're looking for is single player or narrative you probably wont have a good time with it.

I currently do not have nice things to say about the single player, but i am kinda hoping it's going to get better(Mostly i just think it's dissapointing)

The Multi-player is growning on me but again, i wasn't too impressed with it to start with. I don't feel there has been much improvements made to it since BC2.
