Is being single really as bad as some people make out?

Well than you're never going to get laid. And if you are too lazy to get laid, than you're going to fail in life.

Just because you don't get laid the exact SECOND you start dating does not mean your never going to, and also how does not getting laid make you a fail at life last I checked getting laid doesn't mean you cant live a successful happy life. Oh yeah and to your 18 never kissed yada yada statement even if we are judging this on a "how old were you when...whatever" scale 18 is not bad at all im only 4 years from then and I am almost certain I wont kiss a girl by then and I don't expect to for time after that either hell I don't EVER expect it, I sure hope it but I don't sit there going "Hmm maybe TODAY will be the day".

I am still in school and no matter what it doesn't matter if you're single or not and ESPECIALLY doesn't matter when your still in school (mainly because safely 90% of all school relationships are just to have someone good looking around and to say "H3Y IVE GOTZ A GF/BF SO UR ALL FAGS LOLOLOL and almost never is love/affection involved) I really don't see what the big deal is with all these school kids who make fun of people (mainly me) because I have never dated anyone and it is because A. Im pretty sure every female in my school is exactly what you would expect a teenage girl to be (not a good thing to explain further) and B. because I would rather wait for someone special than just have some random chick as a girlfriend just to say I have one.

Are you in middle school or high school?

I'll determine if I fail in life, at least in this situation.
Therefore, why should what anyone else says regarding "failing at life" in this context matter?
Life is, partly, what you make it. And I live for my enjoyment, not for some fucking douchebags who want me to be exactly like them and determine I've failed because I must accept their oh so precious values and criteria. What is this, a church?

NOOOOO- ..Right, anyways. Single is great, relationships are hard for most people (as being very risky at some points). Currently I am in a oversea's relationship with someone I care for dearly, and am happy. Just depends on what you prefer in life, in general.

This x100. Love and understanding is the thing that makes relationships worthwhile, and it's very unlikely you'll get either of those before your 20s. Until then, relationships are pretty much just about fooling around (both physically and emotionally).

Also, is anyone surprised at how many of the posters here are under 18? Is that really the demographic of this site or is it just the subject of this thread?

It just depends...it varies from person to person. Some people can't stand relationships or don't understand the need for them and some people really long for one (like me honestly).
Plus like many people have said, your young...high school relationships are almost vomit inducing. Once you start getting old your mind set might change.

I had my first kiss when I was 19. I do not think the age matters, it is not a race.

There is nothing worng with being single. When you are single you have lots of time to yourself, can do what you want, you don`t have to please anyone but yourself.

You should not rush into a relationship just because you think it is bad to be single.

When you meet somebody who you like more say ... than sitting in at home in your underwear eating chocolate fondue whilst playing guitar hero and your getting chocolate everywhere but won`t clean up afterwards...if you meet someone who makes you feel that way go and get them tigar raaah!!!

Single people have more fun, depending on your own idea of fun that is.

Depends on your personality and whether or not you ever actually love anyone. Myself I'm a little bit in between, I'd like to have another girlfriend...but I;d still rather be with my ex-girlfriend...but being single does let you do whatever the fuck you feel like, and that's nice.
