Hey guy just thought id ask what you think of the new bioshock as im in two mind as to get it or not I realy enjoyed the first but ive heared this one isnt as good.

I hated the first Bioshock, but I love this one. It's so much cooler being a big daddy, and the combat is a lot better. 
I liked it, I thought it played smoother than the original. It does lack that 'spark' of the first though.
It's true that this game isn't as good as the original. However, that's mostly because the first game was one of the best games I've ever had, and even thought Bioshock 2 is really good as it is, it pales next to its predecessor.
That's not to say you shouldn't buy it though, it's worth owning.

If you liked BioShock 1, you'll like this, new plot, new areas of rapture, same mechanics. Essentially it's a new game made from an older game.
I think people should stop asking for others opinions, as everyones differs. Everytime a new games comes out I always see stuff like this, its ridiculous.
Theres a few possible solutions though:
1 - Read reviews or look at gameplay videos to help see the good and bad points.
2 - Rent the damn thing.
3 - stfu asking stupid questions like this when games get high scores. Really, if you can't tell a game is good by an overall score of 88/100 then something is wrong with you.

Im loving it so far just about to finish it, i got really immersed. I also got really attached to the character and the little sisters

i actually think its fine to ask for opinions about a game, on a GAMING website. its better than all of those rediculous off-topics forums that always seem to be "hot" examples would be "what the story behind you avatar?" or "whats you favourite FF character" etc etc.xavierxenon said:

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, watching gameplay videos is infinitely better than listening to opinions. What a shocker!
I rented the PS3 version. I agree with the others, it doesn't have that... 'spark' of its predecessor, but I suppose that comes with the territory in a sequel. If you like the first game you'll probably like this one, too; the alterations in gameplay are minor, such as a few new enemies, a load of new gene tonics, the hacking mechanic isn't as flow-breaking anymore, and you get to walk around the outside of Rapture for a bit.
Oh, and one of the highlights for me was a sequence towards the end where you take control of a Little Sister, shortly after which you'll be able to summon a Big Sister to aid you in combat. Very cool!

I'll leave you with this: If you didn't like the first - DO NOT buy this one.
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: the single player is new and innovative and the multiplayer is something new and special and is definitely worth checking out.
