Is Bioshock Good?

In my opinion its one of the best games for the 360 and ive seen alot of other people who really like it too, but there are also alot of people who hate it and wouldn't play it if it was the last game on earth and ive never seen someone who thinks it's ok. So im just trying to find out what most people think of it and if they are exited about the upcoming Bioshock 2? I also liked the fact you could beat crazy, insane people in the head with a wrench, that adds a rather nice, insane touch to it.

I'm interested in the 2nd Bioshock, and liked the first one, whilst playing it, but after not playing it for a while...I don' like the original as much now >.>

Yeah it's OK. I never saw why it was so "revolutionary," but the whole steam punk aesthetic looked really great.

I don't get the problem that people had with Bioshock. It wasn't a great game, but it wasn't a bad game either. I can't think of any major weaknesses that it had in what I played of it.

It was a great game but I beat on my first play through on hard in about 4 hours. It took me longer to beat Portal!

i loved bioshock personnally, you can't beat biblical crazies but i can see why people wouldn't like it.

I'm a massive BioShock fanboy, so my answer would be; yes yes yes yes yes.
I have some different opinions on BioShock 2, however.

It's a good game. It basically IS System Shock and that was a great game. Throw in some nice art styling and you've got some satisfying fun.

i loved playing every secound of that game even though it was short i wouldnt really make it down for that because i been on longer games but after awhile they got bouring but with bioshock it felt fresh from the begining to the end and buidling up your plasmids and picking the ones that are best suited to the why you played the game xD

i specialy liked the plasmid hypnotise big daddy lol just for the lol factor that it can create lol xD

Yes its good, but it didn't live up to the hype for me.

I thought it was a decent shooter with a good story, which made me wish I had a copy of SS2 to play instead.

Ugh... I hate when people say Bioshock is steampunk. there's not a single steampunk element to it, well, maybe the gun turrets but that's a stretch.

I personally loved it and it's retro-futuristic style.

I consider it to be much more Art-Deco than Steampunk.
But I see your point.
