They turned an extremely polished open-world platforming game into an extremely polished GTA-for-kids. Jak's voice, and maybe his goatee(?), were just the icing on that crap-cake. Don't get me wrong, Jak 2 was not a bad game by any means - actually it was better than many similar games. However, it had virtually none of the charm that drew me to the original.Dr.Poisonfreak said:its all down to personal opinion more than anything, i didn't mind them personally but there was room for improvementIndigo_Dingo said:A lot of people liked the changes made to Jak
The Crash Bandicoot games developed by Naughty Dog were linear, "2.5D" platformers (except the amazing Crash Team Racing). As such, they were perfect for younger audiences. That was their charm. If they decided to suddenly make a free-roaming Crash game, they'd lose at least part of their audience.
