Is Dark Souls Fair? (Yes it is, and here's why)

Hey guys! I actually managed to get 2 vids done this month so I'm pretty stoked about that. This time around, I'll be covering Dark Souls, but in a bit of a different way. The games are getting more exposure, but a lot of people are still scared of giving them a shot. So this time I explain how I think Dark Souls eases you to it's brutal but rewarding gameplay. And I die in the process. A lot.

Hmm, I really need to play the second half of DS 1 again... A lot of what you said applies pretty well. Most people say Blighttown is the worst thing ever, but by being careful and using planning and what the game taught me, the only thing that bothered me was the trek downwards. Nothing else was THAT bad. Excellent work as always, man~ Glad to see so much new content so quickly!

(I also discovered the downward strike on the demon trick on my own too. Was VERY satisfying)

I'm very glad you're finally getting some more viewers. As for this video itself, I never really noticed like....all the stuff you pointed out. The game actually has pretty decent pacing, and you did a good job presenting your argument. good stuff.

That voice ... it's on par with Vaati's man. If you know whom i'm talking about, then you're on a roll my friend.

OT: Your video was very well done man. Being insightful with a lot to say, humorous without overdoing the comedy- but what stood out to me, was your reasoning / debating was established to the point I found myself agreeing with you very often. Especially about the tutorial giving you plenty to experience and warning you about the upcoming threats similar to what the tutorial offered.

It basically sets up what you'll be facing in the future, but unlike receiving petty damage- it'll likely kill you if you don't learn from your mistakes. Please keep up the good work, I see a lot of potential in you

I first got into your style of reviewing watching your Chrono Trigger video; I like it so much - and it reminded me of how great that game was and continues to be - that I started a new playthrough of the FF Chronicles (PSX) version, after beating the DS version (which I no longer have). Thanks for being a reviewer that is deep and meaningful but easy to listen to. That Dark Souls video was also great; I'm thinking about starting that up at some point to (360 v.).
