I have just completed Dragon Age, (Yey me!) and now i want to carry on with my Character, (Because he is just to awesome to simply forget) And i am wondering whether to purchase the expansion.

Is it any good? Do any other Characters return Except for Ohgren? does it have a good story? i just want to know the general information from gamers before i go out and buy it :p

EDIT: Oh yeh, before i forget, is their any other DLC that allow me to carry on with my Character?

It's... pretty good. It has some fun battles. Only problem is the story is a little lacking and it's pretty short. It's also really easy.

Overall, I'd recommend it.

It's not bad. It isn't as good as the main game, but it's definitely worth the cash. I found it to be far too easy, though, even on nightmare.

Witch Hunt lets you load your character but as you can imagine from a DLC, it's rather short. But at least you will get to fill one of the plot holes from the original game, something that the expansion Awakening terribly fails at and just adds more plot holes.

Also most likely you will beat the expansion once and then get bored of it. You should get it if you really really want to see new stuff, like story or items.

But personally I would recommend buying all the DLC's and trying to beat the game with another character, no matter how awesome your first character was. A second or third play through is a must, you simply can't fully experience this awesome game if you don't try different origin story's.

Oooh Cool, i take it Which Hunt is to find Morrigan right? That should be a laugh, do you get the original or new party members (the Awakening party, or the Origins party?)

I found Awakening to be quite good, I mean yeah okay you get a LITTLE overpowered but the fights were cool, the settings were pretty sweet and hey, I'm not about to complain about 25 hours worth of game play from a DLC. I mean I found that pretty astoundingly long for an Add-On.

Cheers from Holland!

I found Awakening to be 'okay'. If you're looking for amazing characters like DAO had, then you're barking up the wrong tree, the characters are pretty meh. Story isn't great either. However if you're looking for more gameplay, then I guess you can't go wrong. Theres plenty of new areas and dungeons to explore.

In Witch Hunt, you get your dog back, although you still had to give it a name again oddly enough. Other than that you get 2 new characters, a dalish elf and a mage. The characters aren't that bad I guess, but you can't initiate conversations with them or anything which like you couldn't in Awakening which sucks.

Yeah it's alright, pretty easy though. There are mods to keep your gear on PC. Be careful though there are some huge bugs that can make you lose all your gear and others that prevent companions from giving their quests.

A little overpowered? Until the last boss I was winning fights without even attacking my enemies thanks to that spell which is a whirlwind of elemental damage. I could solo levels if I wanted to just by running around them with Haste and killing them with that, while I took zero damage from all my armour enchantments and the kicker was I didn't run out of mana, in fact I regained it enough to effectively cast a lot of spells. Man Arcane Warrior/Battlemage is an OP class especially if your a Blood Mage or Spirit Healer.

But yeah it was fun.

Wait for the Ultimate Edition. It includes all the DLC and Awakenings. Plus, is fairly cheap (especially in comparison to buying the DLCs individually).

Id recommend this. Each of the DLC is kinda sad on their own. And the Xpac is kinda short. But the "ultimate edition" would most definitely be a decent amount of new things to do if you enjoyed Dragon Age.

Yeah I had a Bloodmage/Arcane Warrior combo too and I did find that my teammates were more like meatshields than actual help. I also found the last boss laughingly easy, especially with the whole AoE DoT effect spamming. I guess that's why they gave the previous last boss such huge magic resistances.

I had a Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior/Battle mage, the guy wouldn't die period and killed everything with his storm thing. I had Anders as a blood mage/spirit healer/arcane warrior backing up. Justice I respeced to a dual wield DPS (with Stafang and Keening) and Nathaniel Howe was a Bard/Ranger archer with a blight wolf. Basically no challenge.

The last boss was a tiny bit more difficult simply because I was using Velanna and Sigurn instead of Anders and Howe and I hadn't manaed their skills, because I wanted to get the best ending (they had the highest morale/personal quests done). But even on nightmare I managed it pretty easily.
