Is Dragon Age the most Gay Friendly Game?

I'm not trying to prove this, I'm just stating the facts and asking people if they know of a more gay friendly game.

There are several gay couples in the series, two Grey Wardens from the books, Harren and Wade are a confirmed couple by Bioware, Hespith and Blanka, and both Zeverin and Leliana are bisexual. Everyone seems fine with homosexuality too, except for perhaps the player character.

So, are there any games out there that are more gay friendly, or have gay characters not used for humors sake?

EDIT: A lot of people are saying Persona 4, so maybe I should check that out.

Something about Persona 4? Never played it though.

I think most games these days are gay-friendly, meaning that they're not gay-unfriendly I'd say.

No, minecraft is.

I'm not interested in the sexuality of my characters. I don't fucking want to bone anything.

I'm here to kill shit and pile blocks. I still have lots of both.

And yet every gay relationship seems hollow and stupid.

Plus stereotypic gay man in form of a FUCKING ELF was so offensive and terrible it turned me off of the game.

You mean Zevran? He seems to be bisexual. As is Leliana so it seems to be this game is more bi-friendly than gay friendly :p

bioware has been using homosexuality for a while, even in kotor 1 there was a bisexual cat girl, but they are all pretty meaningless and dont matter at all

persona 4 is known as the only one that actually has meaningful gender issues

I'd say persona 4. And it is primarily because it doesn't include gay sex or a gay love interest thrown in just.

Kanji is essentially one of the more believable homosexual characters simply because he struggles with it and how he's viewed by others. I know that's not the case for everyone, but most of the gay folks i've known can connect with that.

Jade Empire as well. That one had a lot of different straight/bi/gay relationships, and characters who were gay as opposed to bi characters in Dragon Age

There are people like me who, when given the chance to customize the player character, will make a hot female as opposed to a male(since i have to look at it for so damn long.) This being said, many games who wan to throw in relationships like bioware has done, will be making those characters that swing both ways so people like me can engage in that plot instead of just not talking to the guy our female character is supposed to like for the whole game.

acctually I played as female elf and I didnt even know that zevran could be gay untill I read it somwhere else, to me he seemed to be a real womanizer and tried to hit on me, I regret not trying to ramance him

anyway If you see zevran as "sterotypical" gay then it dosnt seem like you played the game because I never got a gay vibe from him

I dont know of any other possible lesbian relationships other than that lenlina (dont know hwo to spell it) chick But I think she was DLC so I never got her

0_0 Leliana is not DLC. She's in the bar at that doomed town you visit right after getting rescued from Ostagar. There's a cutscene introducing her as soon as you walk in. The only way to not find her is to avoid visiting the tavern. In a medieval fantasy RPG. You are doing it wrong.

OT: Dragon Age is not by far the most gay friendly game. There are no actually gay characters, only bisexual ones. And of those two, one is only interested in sex rather than any serious relationship and the other is difficult to get unless you know exactly what you're doing.

You obviously never conversed with him very much, or romanced him. His offensive womanizing and blind optimism are just defense mechanisms that serve the purpose of either to drive others away from him or ending up in bed someone. It's a facade that quickly falls apart once he becomes your friend or falls in love with you. All of your companions will seem one dimensional unless you get to know them better.

well it's actually because the character is a savvy guy that grew up in a whorehouse so he really doesn't have any preferences...
but okay go throw up the stereotype flag everytime something like that happens

Uh, how on earth did you miss Leliana? If you don't meet her in the Tavern, she'll stop you as you approach the exit to Lothering.

You can miss her. I honestly didn't know about the tavern (I spent 3 hours in Lothering, how did I miss it?) on my first playthrough, and missed getting her. She only stops you outside of town if you refuse her request in the tavern.
