Some might say it is too soon, but as a fan of morbid humor, I say, go ahead!

If you're making fun of him, then yes, it is in bad taste. If this is a tribute, then it's not. It depends upon if you're portraying him respectfully or not.

I would not do it, but it is up to you. On a second note I do not know why anyone would want to dress up as him in the first place. I know he was a great guy but not halloween material, what I mean is (unless they are regular Apple users) that most people do not even know even know what he looks like.

A little too soon, but bad taste, perhaps not. While I dont believe its the best of ideas, perhaps with a few augmentations, it'll be slightly more tasteful.

Eh? Are you offended that I genuinely don't care that the man is dead?

At this point...Probably not.
I'm all for using humor to honor the people behind tragedies, and after the first Onion spoof I had only a slight weird feeling about them doing it (It was like, hours after his death). But damn, Onion REALLY harped on his death, didn't they? Steve Jobs 2.0. Apple desperately restarting Jobs. Last American to know what he was doing dies of Pancreatic cancer. They did like, 6 spoofs in 24 hours. Little much.

It wouldn't really be in bad taste. Going as zombie Steve Jobs on the other hand might, though it would be funny to anyone not easily offended.

Yes, specifically you. Only you. Everyone else I'm fine with.

It's not being offended. "Bother" does not mean "offended". I find it irritating when people go around loudly proclaiming to all and sundry that they don't care about the fact someone died. A true lack of care would be expressed via an absence of commenting on the matter, which is certainly more tactful.

So great, you keep that to yourself. It's not cool, it's not edgy, and the way some people express their lack of empathy, it looks borderline psychotic.

I was gonna say something sarcastic, but then I realized you weren't suggesting that everyone should care. The way people have been going on as if he was their fucking grandfather or something who designed the iPhone himself as a personal gift, that was how I read it.

Don't get me wrong, I am one of the biggest apple fan boys around (writing this on a macbook now) I respect the man for everything he's done but I don't know if going as him for halloween is appropriate or not. I wouldn't 'zombify' him or anything just the typical turtleneck and jeans look. Im sure a lot of people will do it but it will probably have the same impact as the steve irwin with a stingray costume a few years back. wat do yu guys think?
Halloween is supposed to be macabre, but right now the death of Mr Jobs is just depressing.

I suggest going as Usama Bin Laden with a fake bullet hole in your head.

Now that is tasteless in a funny way!

(even though is is a mass murderer, you are in a way celebrating how he was FINALLY brought to justice)

1 - It's not scary in the slightest
2 - It's not funny (at least in my opinion)
So the costume fails to meet either of the things you should be aiming for with a halloween costume.
But most importantly 3 - It's way too soon.

Is it possible that people could get down off their high horses for long enough to realise that what he is proposing is in NO way disrespectful.

I mean, people still dress up as Elvis don't they? Just because somebody is dead doesn't make their image an instant taboo.
