I should hope that the suspension will give Saelune a chance to rethink how they've been acting lately. I don't remember them being like this before the "long wild dark" as it was.
She got that way when Trump won the presidency. That was the day that most people on the internet lost their minds.
I hate Trump with a passion, but acting like a complete douche nozzle changes nothing, and let's people like him win. For her sake, I hope she learns from this. If she wants to, I would gladly help her anyway I can to ease her mind. Even if it's just a brief conversation.
Out of all of us here, she's the one of the ones likely to die from some MAGA gun nut. If America does go more fascist, she'll be the first one carted off. She knows that justice will never be given to her if goes

Doesn't excuse her behaviour. It's a lot more pressure than she can deal with.

She has severe depression and murica doesn't have a good health care system to alleviate that.
Depression is a serious thing, our health care system has definite problems, but that twat winning makes you go crazy that easily; odds are you did not much have sanity to begin with. I hope that is not the case.

Very tactful. You know she can still read posts, right?

We should probably try to stay on topic rather than gossip about users, though.

OT: I wonder if they are feeling skittish about not having much to announce at a hypeathon after the Diablo Immortal fiasco happened?

Agreed, I said what I wanted. Honestly. I don't know what else can be added about E3, period. It's just people going through the motions.

At least the last two E3s had more variety than Microsoft's. Also, that picture is missing God of War for 2016 and 2017. Spider-Man came out this year with rounding success, so the joke falls a little flat.

Micrsoft's E3 wasn't much better either, as they loved announcing things more than showing and saying we bought out these developers (most of which they're going to have sit on their asses and do nothing). With the promise of the George RR Marin "it's coming". The PS4 and Switch has a unique line-up of exclusives, the XBox One is still catching up. They had since 2013, and their exclusive line-up has barely expanded. Microsoft screwed themselves over by cancelling several games or pushing them so far back, most won't even bother playing the game when it finall launches.

I really couldn't care less about E3 dying off honestly. For gamers like us that pay attention to most stuff, you rarely get any new or unknown info about games at E3 anyway. The only NEW thing that I recall from this E3 was the game Control that I hadn't heard about and looked pretty cool and that was really it.

Going "but they're better than MS!" is not an argument, it's whataboutism, which is deflection. They're irrelevant to the argument at hand. And the argument at hand is this: Sony's pressers for the past few years have been lackluster. And instead of doing something about that, they chose to just drop out. That's pathetic.

I never said Sony were immune to criticism. Both were mediocre and either weren't much better than the other. Sony barely has a slight edge, but not a lot. I don't where you are coming from.

Also, Nintendo dropped from E3 several times, and most didn't see as a big deal. They seemed to benefit from it. Now the same thing may or may not happen to Sony.

There isn't really anything E3 does anymore. Everything is leaked weeks in advanced anyway. The whole thing is just a sham.

Well, you can't judge their conferences in a void, you're gonna have to compare it to something, otherwise you wouldn't be able to argue whether they were lackluster or not. And claiming they were lackluster as if it was fact is a little silly. Whether you thought they were doesn't change that in general they were received fairly positively, with only the last one being seen as a bit middling. So saying they're dropping out because their press conferences of the past few years were seen as lackluster is BS.

If it is, it's way too early to call. This could be the start of a slow decline, but this is like seeing a dip in a company's stock price and then claiming the company is going to go bankrupt.

The point still stands: trying to bring up another's flaws to deflect from one's own is gutless and makes it clear there's really not much of a counter argument to be had. Sony's conferences have been poor the last few years. Last year alone made people go "WTF?" with the bizarre change of venue for no other reason than to show off.

I admittedly was being facetious of their content; it's not that there's not interesting stuff in there, but Sony have never been good presenters. Their pressers are overly long, there's weird moments of empty space, and the pacing is always terrible. And it's funny to think considering they're freaking SONY, a multi-trillion dollar conglomerate. When Nintendo, a far smaller company than them, is able to make better presentations, that is very, very, VERY sad

But how else are people supposed to make crappy headlines?

Not last year alone, just last year, because with previous conferences there was very little criticism to their presentations, other than the usual 'guy on stage in stead of just showing a trailer'. And on that point..

I admittedly was being facetious of their content; it's not that there's not interesting stuff in there, but Sony have never been good presenters. Their pressers are overly long, there's weird moments of empty space, and the pacing is always terrible. Their conferences have actually greatly improved from 2015 onward, ditching the overly long talking and boasting and simply just showing trailer after trailer after trailer. There was a time when all the big E3 conferences (including Nintendo) had 10 minute long talking sections inbetween showing trailers and announcements. Sony then decided 'just ditch all that and show the people what they want; trailers'. And this change has been received fairly positively overall. No, it's not some great show, but within the parameters of a live press conference it's efficient enough. Even Nintendo with their recorded briefings still must abide to 'guy on screen talking'. They got rid of the live awkwardness, but that corperate awkwardness is still very much present.

These conferences are always going to be kinda icky, because it needs to be sold to general audiences and insure trust with the investors, meaning it comes across as this overly friendly, manipulative affair. But Sony is hardly seen as the red-headed stepchild, unable to sell itself and just fumbling onstage at these events. Far from it.

You mean like the internet?
The Internet isn't exclusively dedicated to games, nor they have total control on what it's said on it and what it isn't.
