If TES:5 becomes an MMORPG, then I will burn everything Bethesda related in my house

If they do make it a MMO i bet alot of people will go on about "Agh It's just rip-off World of warcraft"

OT:I don't think TES is well suited for a MMO badge

Send me a video and Ill believe that last statement.

Its their property and they can do whatever they want with it. Playing it or not? Another story.

I really really hope it's not. Part of the fun of an Elder Scrolls game comes from slowly becoming so rediculously overpowered that it's not even funny. The other part comes from stealing everything in sight. Both of those would be interfered with if it were made into an MMO.

Why all the hate on MMOs? Personally I think that it would be kind of cool. Think of it; multiplayer Oblivion. The only thing that they must do to make this work is to make the intro story single player and when the character is released into the world, the MMO begins.

I hope so. It would be great fun to play my Oblivion character alongside my sister's. The game is just waaaaay too boring and lonely when played by yourself.

Figure of speech, I wont really burn everything Bethesda related in my house. I will however be pretty disappointed. Where's the fun in becoming strong, only to be killed by someone higher level than you and get all your stuff taken.
Also, how would spawning even work?

I definitly agree with the general vibe here, i like to take my time exploring a game like Oblivion and hopefully TE5 and having other people teabagging and stealing all my stolen stuff would reduce the fun.

Also i'm really not taking the topic seriously, considering the creator all but denounced it in the title post.

Sigh..I really hope the next Elder Scrolls game does not turn out to be an MMO...but we all know that Bethesda has to be at least entertaining the idea of turning the franchise into an MMO. The last thing the game community needs right now is one more non-MMO IP made MMO. There are FAR too many MMO's out right now, please please please Bethesda do not make this into an MMO (at this point in time). One thing I actually really liked about the Elder Scrolls games was the focus on single player and lack of multiplayer. I am a longtime MMO fan and player and I am almost getting sick of them and I am also tired of evey game riding the multiplayer aspect with mediocre and/or far too short single player experiences.

But we all know that Bethesda is going to take Elder Scrolls to MMO sooner or later...meh.

Spawning? What are you talking about? You better hope your ass quicksaved before you got your face stomped in by a level 99 Warrior. Also, you better hope you quicksaved out of his sight or prepare for infinite curbstomping

I hope not, we don't really need one, there are way too many MMOs out there now, and most aren't that good. I just want a nicely put together TES5 to redeem themselves because Oblivion could've been much, much better. I'd wish they'd iron out there single player faults before they move onto the much harder aspect of making a multiplayer game. Maybe eventually we can have one...but not now...

It's also because the amount of time needed to make an MMO, it's been a few years since Oblivion, and it's due time for a new Elder Scrolls.

I would like an alternative part from the main story, but Bethesda are great at making stories.

For the love of everything. PLEASE no. It'd hard to be worse than Oblivion, but an MMO'd do it.
Hard to be worse than Oblivion? Even if it isn't an MMO
Vvardenfell gets destroyed because the Red Mountain erupts.

Definitely worse.
No. I refuse to accept that as canon.

Whatever happened to you Bethesda?
I want another Morrowind...

Quicksaving/loading wouldnt really work in an MMORPG, mainly because you could easily exploit that
