As far as I've seen, no one in my country seems to be confident enough to speak a strict position about subjects they know nothing off, at a media level.

I wouldn't say the ignorance isn't in other countries. They just seem to give these people less chance to speak. The only time I've heard of people saying that someone's speech on the media is stupid is if it has to do with politics.

ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC. Are all guilty of the exact same things fox is guilty of, but receive none of the scrutiny.

And I have no idea what other news channels there are in other parts of the world, and don't care, but I doubt they are any better.

No, of course not. It's just the most prominent in the United States. There are idiots everywhere.

EDIT: Or to put that another way, it's seems that it's only in the United States that the idiots are given the loudest voice.

You can find stupidity everywhere you go. Seriously the two most common things on this planet are water and human stupidity.

Nope, here in the UK we also have our fair share of dumbness.

The most common elements on Earth are iron and oxygen. Water isn't even close ROFL.

Stupidity is everywhere but there's definitely something about some American sub-cultures that leads ppl to wear their stupidity as some kind of badge of honour. Intelligence is seen as a weakness and proof of being a *gasp* 'leftie'.

Sadly not, see the Daily Mail or the late (now shut down) News of the World newspapers in Britain.

None of those organizations sink to the depths of unethical practices and none of them do it as frequently as Fox. That's why they don't receive as much scrutiny.

One the whole, most American media is a sensationalist joke that any news media of any other country can't hold a candle to, no matter how bad they are.

Fox news is like a tabloid. Tonnes of people read them in every country, those people are just very vocal in the US.

Fox news seems to be a lot like English tabloid newspapers...in regards to politics, I haven't seen so much celebrity worship on Fox news. Do they care at all about Jordans boobs or Russell Brands penis?

I'm sure there are media outlets with agendas anywhere there is free press, and the places that don't have free press...are worse.

Cool story. Could it be that all those other news outlets are just as bad, but nobody knows cause everybody is busy harping on fox news and ignoring the other outlets? Hmmmmmmmmm?

Naw, clearly that's not possible.

And really? What about al jazeera?

Up here in the frozen north of Canada, we've got the SUN news network.
It quite openly proclaims its admiration for FOX news.
Take that as you like.

Yeah it isn't. Fox News is far and away the worst. Not shocking considering the head of their company was on trial in England for one of his newspapers.

Which reminds me, News Of The World is a non-American media outlet that is out and out terrible.

Nnnope, German TV is pretty stupid too at times.

Recent things i've seen:

- An Infotainment Show with hilariously bad computer animation showing Watermolecules like this: o-H-o

- A Newsshow falling for a fake Youtube Video showing an explosion during the Norway Attacks that never happened.

- A "report" about this years Gamescom that essentially came down to "Gamers are smelly, unclean weirdos"

...And don't get me started on how retarded and downright evil reality TV formats are over here, but that would be off topic.

In terms of idiotic propaganda, german tv mostly isn't as loud and agressive as what i see from fox news (we leave that to germans best selling pseudo-newspaper-tabloid)....buuut that doesn't mean that german media isn't manipulative.
It's just A LOT more subtle, to the point where i can't even tell if i would prefer the more obvious and stupid brainwashing attempts seen in US Media.
