Just a quick question: I'm thinking of getting by brother the PC version of GTA IV for Christmas, but I remember reading that the port is buggy and broken. It's been a long while since it's been released, so I assume most of the big issues were fixed. Am I assuming right? I don't want to give him a broken Christmas present... :p

It's a good game, but it's not kind to PC players. Maybe you'd make him happier with a copy of San Andreas?

GTA pc is fine for the pc. My girlfriend bought it for me upon release and it ran well. Op just stay away from Saints row 2 pc. Saints row 2 is unplayable on pc regardless of specs, the port is optimized terribly

I've had GTA IV on the PC for a while (already had it on 360, but it was cheap to re-buy on the PC and I wanted to try some mods and stuff)

I don't recall ever running into any major bugs, at least not any more bugs than in the 360 version. It's kind of messed up how much BS you have to wade through to just get into the game and start playing though. Your Steam account apparently isn't enough. You have to set up a Games for Windows profile (which you can connect to your XBox live account if you have one) in order to be able to save your games. And if you want to play multiplayer, then you ALSO need to sign up for a "Social Club" account. Frickin' three accounts to play one game, it's ridiculous.

I bought the game recently for PC, seems to run well though helicopter controls are a little sketchy.

The online portion has some funny physics due to lag sometimes but I've played it for ages and I've never encountered any bugs. I play it online a lot with buddies and it's great fun. :D

It does require a decent graphics card to run though. I get terrible performance on my laptop, which can nonetheless get decent performance in Skyrim and pretty much every other game.
