In which dimension do you mean?

In time it is possibly a line, and in practice... well it's impossible? :X

I suppose that depends on which dimension you picture it. To me, it looks like a circle one way, and a line another.

It should be "loop" not "circle" it helps in this context.

As for the question I would have to say line, if it where a loop there would be no getting the rope out short of cutting it... which would make it a line.... wait what? this is hurting my head.

from this point on we shall refer to this phenomenon as a non-linear Gladosian loop
Agreed.

Plus i zink it is a line. Maybe it is. Then again the knot sort ruins the effect of a perfect line so....zuH?

Its neither.

Its not a line because a line doesn't repeat itself (ie. if you follow a line you will never get back to the same point like in a circle).

Its not a circle either because it has no radius, which a circle must have by definition.

If it has to be one, its more likely to be a line.

A line that you've tied two ends together since you happened to have a portal Device handy.

Calumon: I dunno. Wanna go and find out? I heard they have cake!

For shame... I made a Cake Joke.

Lyx to the rescue:

A circle is a neverending line :) (though, a neverending line isn't necessarily a circle). What it is - ignoring geometry - is a "loop".
