What about the people who don't like Halo 3? There have been hundred upon hundreds of threads about how Halo is the owrst thing ever. In fact, I don't even hear that much crap about WoW. Also it s stupid paying $10 a month for one game.

For the latter, I don't see why. If you look at it, it's pretty cheap entertainment compared to movies for example. 10 Bucks a month and you can play as much as you want, in return you get servers who are properly (well...) cared for and regular free content updates (loose from the expansion packs).

It's ok, but incredibly addictive. Once you're off it you wonder why you ever played it though.

I've noticed that tons of people diss WoW and games that are played a lot like that, and it's really offensive to the rest of the folk who DO play it.
You are gonna let some random faceless person in the INTERNET (of all places) hurt your feelings?

People diss for dissing, forget about games. I have seen people who do it just for entertainment.

My problem with wow is that because its so popular, and requiers so much time in effort.

It really overshadows new and interesting MMOs preventing anyone intregued in the genera from seeing much else. It also requires so much dedication and time that those who play it often dont pay attention to new IPs, or only quit after there so board with WOW that they really dont want to play another MMO.

Atleast thats my opinon and what my MMO playing freinds say.
But hay, it could be worse.

Ya, I prefer paying $5 a month for Xbox live though. As many games as I want and lots of available content.

I think WoW is a danger to kids

I agree. The OP only has to listen to those videos to see why its got such a bad reputation.
On the second video, that guy sounds like a robot elephant snorting when he screams. I can barely make out what he's saying without the subtitles.

I hate WoW and I will tell you why. My friend was playing it and said I should give it a go so I was walking around some town noticing that walking or running was no longer the acceptable way of transport and that jumping was apparently the best way to get from point to point.

As I observed this three midgets in underwear ran up to me two proceeded to violate my legs while one did a vulgar dance infront of me. So no I dont play WoW. I played Star Wars Galaxies before it got simplified to boredom which is my only experiance with MMORPG and that is enough never again will I venture into that giant money dump of a life waster.

I'm not a huge fan of any MMO for one reason: grind-to-reward ratio. I find that during the lower-middle levels (20-30), fun and interesting elements are replaced with grind. There is very little reward for this grind until about 35, for most, and I don't have the patience to keep up until then. It's a matter of taste for me.

Speaking as someone who levelled until end-game, it's a pointless waste of time and money that I'm ashamed for indulging in. I know some people say "It's also about social interaction" but speaking as someone who spent a LOT of time in towns, the only people I got talking to me, or responding to me, were people saying "1 gold pl0x needz armorz"

I dunno, I just prefer gameplay in games I guess. I can see the appeal of WoW, it just isn't my thing.
