Is it weird to fancy a game character?

Since playing Assassin's Creed I find Ezio Auditore rather hot (yes I am a girl). My friends find this weird but I'm not the only girl who finds him yummy.

Does anyone else have any crushes on game characters?

I suppose not.

Lara Croft, Cindy Lennox, Lightning from FF13 I think are kinda hot.

If you feel a bit more than that, then yeah, you are weird. :p

It's not odd. People all over the world feel the hots for fictional characters. I'll admit that I've got a soft spot (or hard spot, ba-dum-tish) for Ivy Valentine.

And yeah, as a straight guy, I'd go for Ezio any day.

Yes, I'll admit to seeing certain video game characters and thinking, "Damn, she's pretty/hot/cute/sexy!" That's about it though; I've never had a crush on a game character.

This is an odd question. I myself find some video game characters attractive, but since I know they aren't real I find myself just disturbed and somewhat disgusted with myself. Some, however, I like more for their personality and this is where it gets weird: is it wrong to fancy an artificially created intelligence? This is some "Blade Runner" shit right here. For instance, I find myself attracted (I guess that that is the word you would use here) to Alyx Vance, Ashley Williams (Mass Effect), and Rose of Sharon Cassidy (New Vegas).

I'll say it again: "Blade Runner" territory here.

I loved Morrigan in Dragon Age. Yeah, she was a *****, but she was a hot *****, and her sarcastic tone just made her more appealing. Besides, half the time she was either hilarious (tormenting Alistar; threatening a guard with a "good time" that he actually wanted, at first) or saying something we all kind of thought.

Not at all. I think Lightning from FF13's hot.

Also, any of the female assassin recruits from AC: Brotherhood. Despite being totally covered, those assassin robes make them quite attractive.

But it's like looking at a mannequin at the mall. No actual feelings are felt, it's really just an observation.

I don't think it's weird, if a character is designed as being attractive then why shouldn't we be able to feel an attraction to said character? Attraction comes in many forms, after all, I mean I for example am attracted specifically to the Irish accent. That's hardly weird, so why should it be weird if a female Irish character in a game comes along, and the voice of said character is an instant turn-on for me?

On topic, I played FFX and X-2 and had something of a crush on Rikku and Paine. And Lulu too, to be honest (gotjh girls can be really hot, after all :D). And when I played The Longest Journey I felt a real connection and attraction to the main character, April Ryan. In fact, that's one of the things that makes me love the developers, Funcom, so much. I've never played a game with such realistic and well developed characters before, and have rarely seen such characterisation in a game since :p.

Also, OP, welcome to The Escapist, and make sure to stay out of the Basement. That's MY domian... muahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

No no, *swoon* Tifa Lockheart. God damn writers just had to make her the ideal woman. Kind, strong and sexy as a choclate strawberry. (cookie for reference obviously).

Apparently not. Watch and see this thread grow with people wanting to bang pixels.

I, personally, have not. Aside from mancrushes. Which is different from physical attraction and totally not gay.

Role Models.

I think that saying someone is hot/acttrative/etc is fine. JUst don't go and try to marry it, like that asian and Love Plus was it?

If you are in love / have a crush with a character and/or want to have a relationship with it: Yes.
If you find the characters looks or other characteristics as sexually attractive, cute, or otherwise charming: Yes, but not as weird.

OT: Not crushes or anything like that, but some characters are a bit hot, if I happen to have the right state of mind.

Oh wow I real want that bunny. It really would take away my rage from AC multiplayer if I had it here with me.

And I'm just up for a one night stand with him ;)
