And yeah, as a straight guy, I'd go for Ezio any day.
That's not a straight thing to say though. Man-love for the latinos = gay love. Ezio, Rico Rodriguez...

Since playing Assassin's Creed I find Ezio Auditore rather hot (yes I am a girl). My friends find this weird but I'm not the only girl who finds him yummy.

Does anyone else have any crushes on game characters?
"Oh did I ever mention I look alot like Ezio..." XD
Oh really? That's all very well but do you have his sexual Italino accent? :p
"Well... No but will a socially awkward american accent services?"
Haha. Well I may just be about able to accept that offer.

"Then when we get inside and I'l say lets get a small popcorn and then you say how about a large we'l share it. Then I'm like Why are you trying to spend all my money woman!" >:0

but we still leave the movie theater holding hands.

Love hypothetical! ^-^

I had a bit of a crush on Yuna from FFX when I played it, but then again Im a little strange... Im the wrong person to voice an opinion in this case! =P
Been there. Damn Yuna. Probably had an entire team to shape her pretty face on the PS2.
I also find myself attracted to the undead women in RDR:UN for a probably psychotic reason.

I've found them attractive before but never had a crush on one.

I've definatly found myself liking tons of characters, but not in that way, just in the sense that i liked how they acted. Tali from the mass effect series is a good example.

If you think there sexy? That's normal. Shaundi from Saints Row 2 was Hot's. Personal feelings? That's just good characterization.

Due to the fact that video game characters are designed to appeal to the eye and the heart (at least thats what they hope) its not at all weird to fancy a game character. To want to do things with it that you can only do with a human being is wandering off into unknown territory.

I myself have (very little) crushes on some VG characters but due to the fact that I realize I am in reality, it never crosses my mind to do more than look at it like eye candy (which it is, don't deny it). If a VG character looks attractive, its because the guys who designed the game thought of what they would find attractive and made a character out of it. Then gave them a gun and/or some uber mcguffin for fun.

No not at all, provided you keep it in prospective and don't let it detriment you real life relationships.

Currently I have the biggest video game crush on ether Starkiller from The Force Unleashed II, Jackie from The Darkness, or Ezio/Desmond in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Cole from inFAMOUS 2 as well. Plus I'm sure every girl loves Nathan Drake so I'm not going to say him lol.

EDIT; Jim Raynor xDDD

Short answer is no. It's no different then in movies/books/etc really. When it stops being a fantasy is when there might be a problem.

We've all been there kid.

Why I remember when I was a lad eagerly pumping coin after coin into Street Fighter just to watch Chun Li smash things. :) Good times.

Oh god... Where do I start?

Aeris from FF7
Alicia Melchiott from Valkyria Chronicles
Tali and FemShep from Mass Effect series.
Bayonetta from Bayonetta
Lulu from FFX.
Eva from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Somebody stop me!!

In all seriousness, yes it is weird. But people seem to do the same with characters from books as well.

*COUGH* Twilight *COUGH*

I honestly think the op is natural human behavior. Even if there is no real counter-part to compare the digital model with, it's what they represent that make an attractive combination of traits to you. Part of this is escapist (not the website) fantasizing, since 'highly successful mass-murderer' isn't typically a desired trait, but by allowing yourself to think in game-world terms, real life inhibitions like this don't get taken into account.

Something fun to explore might be some nerdy cosplay love (aka dress-up role-play) with a significant other. My geek crush is Wonder Woman, and I have. ^^

If it's weird to be attracted to game characters I'm very weird. I could show pictures of all of them.. so I will.

"NSFW, Interesting I would love to see them!"

When they're designed to be, it's completely normal (*cough* Rebecca Change *cough*)
When they aren't, it can be disturbing (don't look up rule 34 on Fallout 3, if you do I accept no responsibility at all and you must sign on this line . . . . . . . . . .)
