If this thread gets over 10 replies I'll get a job, ask out that girl from school I have a crush on, start going to the gym and just sort my life out in general. (Saying this because I know it will never happen)
Tell us how it went with the girl.

OT: Yeah I have a cat and this shit happened a few times. I felt weird and got her out of the room.

Well... Enjoy sorting your life out!

OT: Yeah, I'd be a bit freaked out if an animal was sitting there looking at me when I was naked...

Luckily, I don't have any pets!

A lil' bestiality never hurt anyone.... maybe the cat but thats another story.... /sicko

OT: I prefer not to, cats are dangerous when it comes to dangling things.

Got to love Labradors, it never seems to actually get through to them that they're not a tiny puppy any more. Mine tries to sit in your lap, that's mildly off putting!
Yes indeed, mine also likes to lie on me or sit on me, gets very grumpy if hes not allowed to and begins to huff and puff and become restless until he gets his way the bloody animal x)

I really think that animals do not give a shit if you're naked or clothed. Perhaps that doesn't have any bearing on how weird you feel about it, but just keep that in mind.

Whevenver ANY animal (or human) looks at me, I feel like they are judging me and become a little bit self-conscious, regardless of whether or not I am clothed.

I probably wouldn't mind changing clothes in front of a pet, though. They would be my buddy! But I maybe I'd get a bit embarassed if it was an animal of the opposite sex? o_O I know I project / anthropomorphise too much.. but there are certain rules of propriety that I can't help but apply to all contexts! I am a lady!

I hate masturbating when my cat is watching...but as stated she would be a hypocrite if it offended her.

It never bothers me unless I'm busy with my girlfriend, her dog likes to watch us fuck and that gets on my nerves quite a bit.

Then again, cats are proberbly the most hypocritical of animals.

Animals are naked all the bloody time. I think they probably think us Pan Sapiens are an odd bunch who insist on putting clothes on for no good reason.
Yes, us insiting on putting clothing on because we evolved in Africa where it was warmer but then decided ti migrate north where it's bitterly cold, is no good reason at all. It's completely self-conscious of us to want to avoid getting hyperthermia and other illnesses related from the cooling of the body temperature.

Pfff, animals are naked. The animals don't give a shit. They only care about when they'll next get fuss and attention or to be left alone so they can get some goddamn sleep.

If it's sexual or you are in danager from being savaged due to your nakedness then there's a problem.

I tend to wander around naked or semi-naked a fair bit in my own home, its not a big deal if a pet sees me...considering i keep Tarantulas though i really doubt they care :)

Eh, not really. I go naked around my cat/dog often... not so much when I'm around people...

I'm sorry, should I have qualified my weak joke with: "[...]odd bunch who insist on putting clothes on for no good reason. (which is how they as animals, who have no real concept of why we wear clothes, probably see it)"?

I really tired, so that convoluted sentence makes no sense to me and I wrote it. Bah! Humbug! (bad mood today, apologies if I'm taking it out on you)

I rarely undress in front of my dogs, as I usually do it in my room.

If one of said dogs was in my room, I tend to turn away. I know that it really isn't a big deal as the animals are naked too, but I'm not one who is comfortable walking around in the nude.

I don't find this weird. In fact, it's never crossed my mind that my Cat is staring at me while I'm naked. I doubt She even cares.

I don't mind getting changed but I won't intentionally have a shower or bath in front of an animal, if they wander in during bath time that's fine (I lock the door (they're smart enough to open the door if it's not locked) when it's a shower; mostly due to a shower actually being my more relaxing time and it's thought time). Apart from that, I'm fine with it. Animals are generally quite smart but they don't feel any shame over you seeing them naked or them seeing you naked; so why should you?

I feel less bashful/modest around animals than I do humans, animals don't judge you. To them, you're you; no matter what you look like or whether you're naked or clothed.

Also, do it. The sooner the better, you'll feel better for it and even if she says no; you've moved on. Also the Gym is a horrible and intimidating place until you've been once or twice*. Then it's actually kinda nice, you get relax time; the pain actually feels kinda good since you know you're working off calories and there is generally a positive attitude. Probably a good idea to get a personal trainer to give you a look around and tell you what to start off with and follow that. Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting signing up permanently for a personal trainer but one quick session should be sufficient. [My Gym does $30 per session and it's genuinely helpful.]

*The sooner the better applies even more so here, in a few months you could've dropped a coupla pounds (or gained some muscle). Procrastinate and you'll kick yourself for the wasted time.

No, you are just projecting human concerns onto an animal. Besides, the animals are naked around you all the time. Why would it be weird that you are naked around them?

It all depends on a number of contextual elements, really.

For example, is it a sexy dog?
