Love my three labs. Me and my wife jokingly call them our girls. They sleep in the bed with us. But.....

They are dogs. They are in the end animals. As long as they get off the very second I command them to we don't have any problems. Being close with your dogs/cats are fine. In fact I feel it is healthy for both you and your animals.

Where I draw the line is when people treat their pets as people. They are not people they are and always be animals.

The only issue I have with our dogs in my bed is - when all three are in the bed with me and my wife - it gets crowded even in a king. I have woke up at 2 am with a dog foot in my face. lol... But in the winter - it is cool sleeping in a big ole dogpile.

For one, it's disgusting.

You wouldn't sleep in a dog's basket, so why turn your own bed into one?
You've never actually owned a dog have you?
No, but my eldest sister did when we lived under the same roof.

I don't need to own a dog to know it's disgusting to let them sleep where you sleep, much like I don't need to not flush the toilet to know it's disgusting.

Got a small chinese crested dog, which would probably die if I rolled over it, even tough I'm skinny like a... skinny person, but I let him sleep back to back to me, near my head, near my feet or wherever it pleases him :D

He likes to sleep under my sheets and blankets and stuff too, really cute :3
