I am also 28. A couple years ago my mom got me 2 things for Christmas. A PS3, and a Lego set. First thing I did was set the PS3 aside, and put together that Lego set. It is one of those fighting robot ones. It will forever live near my media, tv, or computer along with my other figures.

Nope. Enjoy!

Don't you just love students? Whatever subject they are studying, they see it everywhere.

Nah. I am 22, and I sleep with a teddy bear in my bed. Most people keep something with them from childhood. Enjoy your lego. <3 It is awesome after all.
You too?
I still sleep with a stuffed rabbit, and I'm fifteen. I don't need him, but I sleep better knowing he's there.

Funny there's others like me.

OT: Not a problem. I know plenty of adults who would plop down on the floor and spend hours building with Lego given the opportunity.

I don't know your girlfriend, but I'm under the impression that she's one of those snobby, stuck-up adults who think anything related to entertainment and and having fun is "immature". But then again, I don't know her.

If you like collecting Legos, that's fine. It's your personality; just because Legos are considered a "toy" doesn't mean you have mental issues. Being a mature adult doesn't require you to miss out on all the things that make you happy. Besides, Legos actually require the use of your brain. It's not some mindless, childish game. I'm 23 and I still have a few Lego sets in my closet I "play" with occasionally.

Nope. Every person deserves a hobby, far be it from others to question it, unless of course it is illegal, and assuming you aren't performing certain unspeakable acts with your legos, I highly doubt (and really hope) that is the case.

NOT EVERYTHING IS COMPLICATED!
Jeepers. Its just 1: Guy gets enjoyment from Legos. 2: Guy plays with Legos.
Tell her to stop worrying and join you.

Childhood issues or not your main goal in life should be to be happy. Although I have always hated Lego because they hurt a lot more then they realistically should when you step on them. :(

as long as the lego makes you happy and doesnt interfer with things like work etc then what harm is it playing with lego or pokemon or my little pony or watching cartoons.

Eh, most of my tv viewing is Cartoon Network (I'm not counting Adult Swim), and if I could have afforded it, there was a huge lego AT-AT set I would have grabbed immediately. If it's fun, just tell her it's something you enjoy. If she doesn't like it, oh well

Nothing wrong with legos. I find em to be a pain in the rear (especially cleanup), and expensive, but if you can deal with those two, have at it. I, personally, participate in cheaper, and usually lazy-friendly hobbies (I.E. Minecraft), but all it is is a hobby. Everyone has one. Most people who don't enjoy your hobby think it's childish and immature (I think that's a guarantee for all hobbies). I play Dungeons and dragons. Everyone I've talked to about it either plays it, or thinks its immature. I used to make model airplanes. Again, everyone who didn't do it thought it was a kid's thing to do. Old video games? you betcha.
In short - it's your hobby. If you enjoy it, don't give a flip if someone think's it's childish.

My GF thinks i have childhood issues (she is doing a masters in psychology so I get analysed a lot lol)
Tell her

A) Symptom(s) do not necessarily mean a disorder.
2) She can't diagnose anything.

THe only thing wrong is the 'My little pony' show. Other than that, I think there's nothing wrong with getting into some old wholesome fun.
